The Beasts

A two meter tall creature with sharp teeth dashed directly to the direction of Slyvan. The thing was that the beast didn't attack with its teeth, but with a well build mono-edge saber.

Slyvan dodged the attack, pulled out a pulse pistol and shot a short burst into the beasts eye. The beast roared and tried to flee but was quickly shot diwn by the marines.

'Is there an intelligent alien species on this planet?' he thougt.

" Science division, take some samples and compare them with the samples of this planet", Slyvan said.

"We need to know if that creature is from this planet or not."

At the same time on the planet.

Thomas Ismail has made a huge discovery.

While mining Iron ore, he found a perfect circular cave with floating matter in the center. When he tried to move close it pushed him somehow pushed him back.

'Anti gravity matter' he thought.

'Like in Fellards warp theory. We need that to build a warp drive!' he thought

exited.

He immediately called the headquarters and told them of his find.

The news of the degravity material made a huge commotion. Everyone was exited because now they had a way to go back home.

Meanwhile the scientists of the science division finished analyzing the samples." Sir, the creature isn't from that planet." an assistance scientist reported to The first Space commander Slyvan.

'So they must have means to travel between planets '.

The houses were finally finished. It wasn't enough to support all the people in stasis, but it was enough for the active crew. Every ship had an active crew of 500 people. So they had 5000 crewmembers.

The science division labs were also finished. The crewmen called theire little town, which was right beside a lake, 'First landing' and theire living quarters 'Crewmen's palace'. The science labs were called 'Brain labs'.

Everything was going smoothly. Resources were plenty on the planet and there was a possibilty that they could have a warp drive in the future. The next big project was to build a home for the civilians and to build a spaceport so they could build more ships.

After 1 month the civilian homes were built and the majority was now working on th spaceport prpject.

The civilian houses were plain. The building was a 2 story building which had all the essentials like toilets, bedrooms and one kitchen. The electricity was taken from the colonization ships. But despite of the simple living conditions, everyone was happy to have completed homes for over 100 thousand people in only 40 days.

After waking up all the civilians, they voted for a planet and system name, hence they couldn't call their planet

In the designated 'voting ship' everyone was talking over eachother.

" Everyone silent", a loud voice suddenly said."Just open your data pad and send your suggestions in. The three most voted suggestion will be taken to another vote and then you can decide what our systems and planets name is."

There were many funny names like 'haremplanet' or 'jizzer', but those names were obviously not taken to the vote.

Finally they decided to call theire planet HOPE and theire system PROXIMA HOPE.
