Gideon Hawthrone

Emerald City, Vintage headquarters. 

A black coloured roll Royce stopped, and moments later, a man dressed in a royal blue suit emerged out. His gait was majestic and his aura, glorious. His upright posture talks about his noble upbringing and the air surrounding him made him appear prominent and admirable. 

"Mr Hawthorne, is it true that Grace will be 'Midnight Lily's lead designer?"

"Mr Hawthorne, why Grace is replacing Hailey West?"

Hailey West was Vintage's lead designer but surprisingly she wasn't leading the team of Midnight Lily. The reason was simple: Hailey West and Lucian Spencer dated for a few months. And it was the Hawthorne princess's demand to remove Hailey West from the position of Midnight Lily's chief designer. And it was also the reason why Grace was coming to Vulgaria to join the team of Midnight Lily as its chief designer. 

"Mr Hawthorne, when are you tying the knot with Irene Callahan?"

Irene Callahan was the beloved daughter of Luka Callahan, founder of Dazzling entertainment company. It was heard that she was dating Gideon Hawthorne for the last few years. The netizens loved Irene and Gideon as a couple. Not only netizens, but even the Hawthorne family also adored her. 

"Mr Hawthorne, our sources say you brought the 'destined moon' for Miss Callahan, is it true?"

A look passed at the name of 'destined moon' in Gideon's eyes but before anyone could notice, it disappeared as soon as it came. It was true that he had bought it for Miss Callahan But the question was, for which Miss Callahan exactly? 

Gideon didn't stop at the questions of the reporters and they were rather used to his cold attitude. However, his attitude didn't stop them from asking the questions. Before they could stop him for further questions, a fiery red Ferrari stopped at the edge of the red carpet and Lucian alighted the car and helped his fiance out of the car first.  

Since they didn't get any TRP worthy news from Gideon, they started tossing questions after questions at the newly engaged couple. And Marilyn was more than willing to answer them. Never had she ever missed the chance of showing off her relationship with Spencer heir -- Lucian before, and how could she do it today when she was wearing his ring on her finger? 

People started gushing at the sight of a huge rock settled on her ring finger. 

"Bro, thank god that you are here!" Gideon's younger brother Donovan said. He heaved out a sigh of relief on seeing his brother. Ah, his bro was his emotional pillar. 

Donovan had been anxious ever since he had received Lucian's secretary's phone call. 

Damned Spencers were still as untrustworthy as ever! 

Gideon's beautiful brows furrowed. "What happened?"

"It's Grace. She informed Lucian's secretary that she will not be attending the press conference," Donovan informed. "What should we do bro? The media is looking for ways to smear the reputation of Midnight Lily even before it started." 

Something in his tone explained that the project 'Midnight Lily' placed great importance on their business as well as their hearts. 

"Perhaps, picking up this project was not a very smart idea," Gulia Hawthorne, Gideon's mother said. She was dressed gracefully in a high-end embroidered knee-length pale blue dress. Even while expressing her dissatisfaction, there was not a single ripple on her forehead. She was as calm as the word calm itself. And it was her unique temperament that made the daughter in law of Hawthorne's quite different from other socialites. Since she was the Mrs Hawthorne and so she must behave like one. 

When almost everyone was expressing their excitement over the project 'Midnight Lily', Madame Hawthorne was the only one who was not pleased. And the reason for her satisfaction wasn't hidden from anyone. They just chose to not talk about this forbidden topic. 

"Mom," Gideon's attractive cold voice has a hint of warmth in it. At this moment, his voice was even more likeable than before. But not everyone was capable enough of deserving this warmness. "Let bygones be bygones."

"Sure son, isn't that what we have been doing for the last seven years?"Guilia  smiled at her eldest son. 

Guilia  had not forgotten about the happenings of seven years ago. They were still as fresh and clear in her mind like it was just yesterday when… 

Never mind, it was better to not talk about it. 

Before Gideon could say anything to his mom, he heard his brother growling in anger. "This Lucian damn Spencer! I'm going to break his jaw. Making a fool of us?!"

"Don!" Gideon wasn't going to let his brother provoke Lucian who was looking for an opportunity to screw this up. 

"Bro?"

"Don't! He and Mari will be marrying soon," Gideon coldly said. "Don't create a scene." 

Hearing hai brother, Donovan pressed his lips. 

"Grace never attends banquets," Gideon said to his brother with an exasperated sigh. However, this expression of exasperation was not reserved for his brother or Grace but Lucian fu.ck.ing Spencer, who was still seeking pleasure in their miseries. "And I have known from the start that she will not attend this one either."

"What do we tell the media?" Donovan asked his brother. 

"Let them make speculation," Gideon smirked evilly. "And give them enough spice to last at least a week."

Understanding what his brother was saying, Gideon sighed in relief. Then, an evil look cast his face and he grinned in one particular direction.
