Healer Maya, Helen's first disciple!!

"We sought help from several healers, but none could offer a solution. They all said he cannot be cured," she added, her voice trembling with emotion. "We're still waiting for a renowned magical healer to at least ease his suffering and extend his..." Her words trailed off as she broke into silent sobs.

At that moment, a maid entered, followed by an old but energetic lady. "Lady Agnes, magical healer Maya is here."

Agnes felt a wave of relief wash over her as she greeted the healer with a smile, wiping away her tears.

"Master healer Maya, please, could you examine my husband's condition and see if there's anything you can do?" she implored.

Maya's smile was tinged with sadness as she assessed Robert's condition. "Lady Agnes, I'm truly sorry. There's nothing that can be done. It's too late now."

Agnes, who had managed to keep her emotions in check until that moment, broke down in tears. Despite not being the nurturing mother Dave needed, she was every bit the caring wife her husband could wish for. This, perhaps, was one reason why Robert couldn't fully side with Dave.

"I wish my master, healer Helen, were here," Maya continued, her words surprising everyone. "She had vast knowledge of human anatomy. She... at least she would have provided guidance to make some progress in his condition."

Agnes, suddenly lifting her head amidst her sobs, looked hopeful. "Can she? Can she help my husband? Is it possible?"

Maya's expression turned somber. "She might have, but alas, a tragic incident damaged her core abilities and rendered her healing inaccessible. Even if she were here, her guidance alone would have been invaluable."

"Please, tell me where we can find her. I'll do whatever it takes to ease my husband's suffering, even if only a little," Agnes pleaded.

Maya shook her head sadly. "After that incident, she left Winden City and never resurfaced. It's been over 40 years since I last saw her. Rumors suggest she returned to her birthplace, Green Town, but there's no proof."

Agnes and Tom's hearts sank upon hearing this, their gaze returning to the motionless figure of Robert with sorrowful expressions.

"Al, can you do something?" Dave's voice snapped them out of their despair. They looked at him in confusion.

Alan stepped forward, closely followed by Chris. "Lady Agnes, please instruct the kitchens to prepare food for ten immediately," Chris said with a warm smile.

Puzzled, Agnes glanced at Dave, who nodded in agreement. She then instructed the maid who had accompanied the healer to convey the message to the kitchens.

Maya was puzzled and was abot to tell the boys off when she felt immense mana from both the boys and she stiffened in shock.

Alan looked at Maya with a smile, " So you are one of the two girls who started their training as assistants at my grandmother's healing hall back then?"

Maya felt as if she was struck by lightning. "You..... you are healer Helen's grandson?"

Alan noded in agreement. "Rumors are indeed true and she is in Green town from past 5 years with her family." Listening to Alan's news, Maya staggered back, tears streaming in her eyes. Chris supported and steadied her.

Agnes and Tom were in shock!!! "How.... Alan, sir, can you please help us in inviting your grandmother. I beg you. You can have all the wealth we have. Please help my husband's suffering ease a bit and extend his life." Agnes was about to go down on her knees begging, when Alan held her hands and made her stand again.

"Don't worry, Lady Agnes. My grandmother's presence is not required for such a small matter," Alan reassured her.

Agnes, Tom and even Maya were taken aback.

Alan then lifted the blanket and signaled to Chris, who skillfully covered the scene. After a moment, Alan gestured for him to remove it.

Chris had carefully covered Robert's private areas, his withering body was fully on display to everyone now.

"What are you doing?" Agnes felt a surge of panic, but Dave held her back reassuringly. "Don't worry, you won't find anyone better than Al."

Dave's unwavering confidence piqued Agnes's curiosity, and she began to observe Alan's movements closely.

Alan ran his hand over Robert's body before gently turning him around with the assistance of Chris. Then began checking again.

Maya watched, unblinking, sensing the powerful yet gentle use of mana. It felt as if she was witnessing the work of a grandmaster at their craft.
