An Explanation for the record books(1) Cosmic Energy

After leading me upstairs the house I found myself at the guest room, which was bigger than any room I was used to, about as big as a swimming pool. It comprised of one large bed with a bedside table and a wardrobe, looking antique just like the wallpaper and rug, but the houses I could see from the window in a street appeared to be using modern architecture and the entire surroundings were lit up like a city.

The kid who is apparently not related to the tall man) was about 5'4 just about shoulder length? With black hair making a contrast between his pinkish skin. His hair was short and his face could be considered top notch back on earth, compared to top male models.

Now we just sat there he was on the desk chair I was on the bed. 'You go first' i attempt to communicate like before but I can tell something is missing

"Didn't you want to ask me questions about this world?" he spoke first breaking up the silence. Too bad I wasn't buying it, if this kid was anything like his swindler father I might end up losing this silent battle and selling myself even further!

"Why did you stop asking me questions weren't you curious before" I had knowledge of another world on my hand, come on, ask me, ask me? Don't you want to know?

"No interest."

"Why? I come from another world you know" there's nobody that doesn't want to know about another world.

"It's not really that surprising considering that all the races here exist because they came from another world"

"Races? There are other races?" I was surprised "Like dwarves, or elves" I asked expecting a detailed answer

"Listen, I have school tomorrow, listing all 39 races currently in Yggdrasil is going to take way too much time, Just make sure never to piss off anyone with bronze skin, those are Celestials and any one you see possesses at least low-tier status just for existing." 'THIRTY-NINE RACES!'

"Now ask away, remember, reasonable questions only." He said with a bit of impatience

I had so many questions! Yggdrasil? Celestials? Why i was adopted forcefully? But I knew better to try someone else's patience when they didn't owe me anything, I was never to act entitled, in fact the fact that he didn't directly snitch my secret out to the tall man was already endearing me to this kid, maybe if i can shape the way he grows... 'There's hope for him yet' I thought hopefully

"Okay, I want to know, what do you want from me in return."

After that he looked genuinely surprised, before smiling a familiar smile, a very familiar smile, 'that smile', in fact they almost looked similar to each other except he looked a bit different and his features were feminine. It was probably too late for him. I released a mental sigh for this fallen brother.

"Well, if things go the way I expect them to go tomorrow you might end up being something similar to be a house pet." I took more offense at that statement considering his father was already planning on making me his boy-boy. What nerve! The both of them

"You're the pet! Your entire family, are pets! Just you wait I might not be a Space Mage, but I will definitely be one of the strongest one day"

"Then by all means become a Space Mage"

"What?" "Nothing. I'll at least try to feed you well even though it's not economic to keep a pet in this world"

"First of all, magic. How does the stuff work here? Is it something you're either born with or not?" I wanted to know just what was what.

"Well, the 'unique abilities' you're talking about is just Energy Abilities, everybody is capable of using energy at least one form of energy-"

"Does that mean others can use more than one En-…? What is Energy"

"What you said just now? Rough translation: supernatural abilities also known as Energy. It's a naturally occurring energy that exists in the Cosmosphere. You see the sky outside. That gold stuff is Cosmic Energy"

Looking out the window and facing up for the first time my eyes beheld a magnificent sight.

Outside the window the night sky I took for granted at first glance was actually made up dazzling stars numbering in the thousands in the far distance, each star twinkling a weak yellow light that refused to go out, like embers refusing to die.

But the real eye-popper was the clouds, it wasn't really humid nut the golden clouds lighting up the sky formed different unique shapes and glowed an orange glow each one looking as smooth as golden butter high up in the sky

I saw one large cloud which existed as a large sun surrounded by other little star-clouds, it made me dream of a life with no stress, a life where I was surrounded by people, just like that cloud-

"You don't absorb Cosmic Energy as a whole. The stuff's too potent. It needs to be broken down into its five known constituents that people in this world have affinity for to Awaken and grow stronger." He said waking me up from my fantasies.' What was I about to do just then? how strange'

"Except, those who don't have one form of Energy potential exceeding the minimum threshold can't Awaken. Those who Awaken, like you did will awaken to one of five forms of Cosmic Energy.

Spiritual Energy or Life Energy is the least harmful to the human body and the world, it is used in enhancing the resilience of every single part of their body from organs, to even the individual cells. This is just the basic application of Life Energy, once their training goes far enough they can use the energy in their mitochondria to re-grow a cut-off head"

'Ah, the Pugilist class…' "Next please" I wasn't actually interested in fighting for a living.

He continued "Psychic energy is responsible for all things relating to the locked potential hidden in our brains. With Psychic Energy you can stimulate your brain to perform millions of complex calculations of at the speed of sound. But nobody does that when there are supercomputers to do them, only public sectors employ Psychics for their vast processing power.

Psychics mostly use Pulse Waves. The regular pulse waves can be used to read brainwaves and communicate soundlessly, or erratic pulse waves to hypnotize people and cause them to be subservient or forget things. The last two of which are criminal acts and gets you tried in court before being sent to a Psychic detainment facility.

But our pulses also have another popularly known effect; Violent pulses end up killing people."

"A psychic pulse to the head, will get you brain dead?" I suggested helpfully

"Precisely, of course all pulses vary by wavelength, frequency, depth etc, and also, we can move things with our minds and all that" he said blandly

Magic Energy also known as Mana, is used by Mages and is known as Environmental Energy because it is the most naturally occurring Energy on The Tree. Magic Energy is the middle ground for all the energies, it is the energy most attuned to the environment and has been known to be able to simulate all forms of nature. Mages possess the third most subclasses of all five classes with the more common Mage sub-classes being the Elementals first and Space Mages second. That's a sub-class having less than the number of a collection of four sub-classes on it's own! They're also the most popular classes."

"Space Mages are abundant? Shouldn't they be rare" I was shocked to say the least, isn't this branching off from Wuxia books a bit"

"There's an unconfirmed theory that the affinities of Mages are being influenced by the environment they're in." she answered helpfully. 'Environment also has an influence? That's surprisingly reasonable'

Next is the Mutant Energy or Mutagen. This energy is so unstable that even if you possess the right potential for Awakening the Mutant class there's still a risk of death due to irreversible damage to your chromosomes. Believe it or not people die due to mishaps during Awakening of all forms of Energy

What the Mutant Energy focuses on is transforming the human body in a controlled, method which grants them unique abilities that they train to increase in strength.

I think it was divided into… three? The first should be Type A. this type involves the use of the Energy to grant them extrasensory capabilities that have no combat powers whatsoever like, seeing through walls or x1000 scope

While the first one can make a human see more things, Type B involves the unique ability to evolve their bodies. This is a different way of evolution from the Pugilists, it involves the use of Mutant Energy to power the consumption for a transformation of the specific parts of the body that are able to 'mutate'. Examples include; Super speed, Superhuman strength, Animal transformation, e.g

The last grants them supernatural abilities over objects outside their body which is vague but understandable, it's probably control over things or people related abilities like; enhanced telekinesis, Elemental control"

And finally. Ferra Energy, the most understated energy and also the most versatile, it has branched out into hundreds of known sub-classes already. Ferra is what Gears use to fight. In the main class the Energy is combined with technology to give strength to metals in the nearby range and use that to fight. It can make ordinary copper as hard as iron.

"They're probably the most hated subclass among the five Energy Forms"

"Why?" I asked confused

Imagine you're both fighting with the same weapons and armor, you attack him dozens of times to not even yield a scratch, he destroys your armor with one single attack! Tell me wouldn't you want to sit down in a corner and contemplate life.

"Yes, I don't think I can keep such cheats as friends"

"Well, that's just how it is with the aspect focused on head physical combat. Metals have other uses such as Powered Rune Armors(RPA's) a suit made of highly advanced technology that is capable of boosting physical attacks while also boasting high defense. The expensive ones even have other features such as stealth, propulsion, and Targeted Weapons Systems."

Seriously I had to ask, are these guys hacking "Are they the strongest"

"Why ask when you already know it. Above that is those who can afford to build Robot armies and Mechs and Floating Fortresses. But these are usually those who are on the Junior Rankings, those freaks can even afford City Stocks!"

"That's all on the Energies we use, there's no use telling you hypothetical energies that researchers are looking to invent later"

Wow, there's so many options to choose from, do I want to duel people mano-a-mano with my fists or snipe them with mental attacks, maybe using long-ranged magic to fight is okay too' wait-why did the first thing I thought I could use powers for turn out to be fighting

"Hey shouldn't there be war among the five for the 'best energy' or 'strongest energy'? Who's in the lead?"

"No one" "None of them are the strongest energy?"

"No." he shook his head "When five become one only then can one defeat a hundred" he spoke with a serious expression

"What? they're gonna fuse like power rangers?" I was in shock
