Chapter 15

Book I Chapter 15

In the Outer Sect and Inner Sect female disciples area, a rumor has already spread far and wide. Unlike male disciples who seldom talk about rumors, the female disciple is almost interconnected.

They are like the information super highway of a sect.

No secret is too secretive amongst these women. Though many of those secrets would not go out amongst them, with the right nudge or prod, one can discover a rich amount of information from these women.

But of course, force is not included in that pattern.

Once force is used, women are more resilient in telling a secret than men.

Well, that is what is commonly known anyway.

As she walked inside the luxuriously decorated manor inside that huge courtyard, Hyuna has already seen more than hundreds of female disciples both from the Outer Sect and Inner Sect.

She was truly baffled because, in the sect, most Inner and Outer sect members would not talk to each other. Well, that is what she had seen in the male disciple's courtyard anyway.

As she looks at those disciples, Hyuna could not help but blush as a few would them would wink at her.

She could feel shivers running down her spine upon seeing the attention she are getting from these beautiful female disciples.

Suddenly, from behind her, a male disciple walked following them.

The young man was the same young man who fell down the roof a while ago.

"Hehe… I am Han Joonho…" he said while grinning at Hyuna.

Hyuna nodded her head and said.

"Wu Jin…"

"Haha… Little brother Wu Jin, your name sounds manly… but… but you look…"

"Like a girl?" she interrupted.

"Haha…" Han Joonho chuckled awkwardly.

He could not deny that if this young man is only a woman, he would surely fall for him.

But thinking about such a thought, Han Joonho suddenly shakes his head.

Soon, the three enter a hall where there are a few middle-aged men and mature women sitting. From one look one could tell that these individuals are elders of the sect.

When Hyuna saw this, her expression sank as she suddenly panics.

This is because… one of the elders seated in that seat is her auntie, Madam Il.

A middle-aged man stands up and walked towards them.

Hyuna quickly bowed and cupped her hands in greeting.

But the middle-aged man ignored her.

Instead, he walked towards the young man behind her, and then she heard a resounding sound.

Bam!!!

The young man was hit at the back of his head loudly which almost toppled him to the ground.

"Grandfather! That was too much!" he grumbled while grimacing in pain as he squatted down while rubbed the back of his head.

"Too much! You insolent brat! How dare you enter this place? I told you many times already that this place is only reserved for the Core disciples and the Female disciples of the sect!" the middle-aged man scolded.

He then walked then took a glance at Hyuna then snorted.

"Wu Jin… Why are you here?" the calm voice of her auntie, Madam Il, echoed in the air.

Hyuna's heart skipped a beat as she thought of some possible reasons she could say.

"This… Umm… I… I was running away from the crowd when I… I accidentally entered this place." Hyuna said while lowering her gaze.

Suddenly, Mi Jin-ah shifted her gaze and then glared at the old man sitting on the opposite side of the hall.

The silver-haired old man noticed this but just showed a slight smile on his face.

"Madam Il, you know that mortals have a limited lifespan, right? I have talked with junior Sung here, and after some ruminating, I realized that your adoptive son truly has a talent… Why not make him share it with us… I can even let him enter the Inner Sect as an honorary member if you permit me to." The silver-haired old man explained.

Hyuna's expression turned serious as she knew that if this happens then she might not be able to hide her secrets for long.

Madam Il could already see the conflicting expression on her face so she showed a faint smile on her face.

"My Little Jin… will not enter the Inner Sect. But… I will also not let his talent be wasted. I would say… once a month? I will let him play in this place… would that be fine… Elder Beom?" she said as she knew that this old man is truly someone who would insist on his opinion.

One can only compromise to appease his heart.

When the silver-haired old man heard this, he felt a bit reluctant. But he knew that Madam Il has already conceded to his demand.

While listening to the two, the others showed confusion in their expressions.

"What is happening?" asked one of the beautiful mature women.

"Yes… Why would you elders treat this child as if he is some kind of talent?" asked another woman.

"Hehe… I heard some rumors…" someone chuckled.

When they heard this, everyone showed a confused expression, and then they seem to have realized something.

"No… way… That is not possible, right?" a middle-aged man interrupted.

"I mean… the library…" he added but was suddenly interrupted.

"We are not talking about that." Elder Sung suddenly interjected.

She touches her silver crown and then a zither mysteriously appears in the middle of the hall.

"Come child… can you play something for auntie?" she said while gesturing for Hyuna to the middle of the hall.

Hyuna's heart is now almost at her throat. She did not know what to do anymore.

Actually, Elder Beom wanted to control the rumors at that time, but Elder Sung convinced him to let them spread. The two discussed this matter and they arrive at the conclusion that the talent of the young man should not be wasted.

Though he could not cultivate, his way of playing musical instruments is like cultivating. That is why… those who listened to them would feel something changing in their hearts.

It is something that even they could not explain.

Min Jin-ah looks at Hyuna and nodded her head.

Feeling a bit nervous, Hyuna followed her and walked toward the center of the hall.

He got seated in front of the zither and then closes her eyes as she picture what she wanted to play.

When she opened her eyes, she has already changed her attitude.

"I will be playing… "Journey of the Crane". One of the songs written by Auntie… I mean, Elder Il." She said while showing a faint smile on her face.

At this time, Elder Geom and Elder Sung have already signaled for a few of the Core disciples to secretly enter the hall to the side.

Some have noticed this, but no one reacted as they did not understand why those two elders were doing this.

The beautiful Senior Bin Yihwa is one of those that enters the hall and secretly watches as the feminine young boy got prepared to play in the middle of the hall.

She did not know why they were called to watch this scene or performance, but she felt curious about the beautiful young boy.

Soon, everyone went silent when the first string was strung and a light melody reverberated through the air.

A slight smile appears on the mouth go Mi Jin-ah as she knew that what Little Jin is playing is the modified version of her creation.

When she heard this version for the first time, it made her feel different. It was as if she is being taken to a whole new world filled with mystery and the unknown. She suddenly recalled those good old days when she was really young and adventurous.

Soon, the melody began to fill the entire hall, and the expression of everyone listening to the song because entranced.

"What a magnificent tune…" someone murmured lightly.

Elder Beum and Elder Sung look at each other and nodded their heads in tacit understanding.

One of the middle-aged elders, on the other hand, is showing bulging eyes while listening to the rhythm and the way the strings are plucked.

He could not help but feel shivers running down his spine.

"How could this be? How could this be possible? Is this mortal a genius or someone has taught him… that… secret." He thought as he observes the way the young man plays.

The reason for his reaction is because, a hundred years ago, he had seen someone playing the same way in a faraway kingdom.

That person is not a cultivator, but instead a mortal.

However, though he is a mere mortal, he is able to control the elements around him and use them to his advantage.

After playing, at that time, several Element Law Perception cultivators tried to capture that guy to know his secret.

Who would have known that the guy defeated them without using any weapons or magic skills?

The guy only uses the sound wave of his zither to incapacitate his enemies.

So, upon seeing this mortal child, he could not help but feel suspicious at the same time apprehensive at the magnificent skill being shown.

He could judge that this young child is 100 times better that that mortal zither player at that time.

The elder's train of thought was suddenly interrupted when he felt two auras becoming chaotic behind him.

"Huh? What is happening? Someone is actually breaking through…" he thought as he turns around.

Along with him the other elders also noticed this and they also turn to look at a beautiful young woman and a handsome young man already seated on the ground with their eyes closed.

Their chaotic aura began pushing the air, but the sound still reverberated in the air as if trying to resist their aura.

The elders frowned, but they did not do anything.

Ting! Ting! Tang! Tang!

Suddenly, four loud tunes echoed which seem to have pushed the chaotic aura and made the whole hall calms down.

The astonished look in everyone's eyes became complicated.

"Is… Is that breakthrough suppression?" muttered Elder Beum as he now has another level of respect for the young fellow.
