Rotten to the Core

Chunghi was holding a bouquet of roses in his hands. His teeth were chattering from the cold approaching season. He was at the front door of a condo unit that was located at the suburbs on a hill. He was also trying to catch his breath as he felt a little out of shape going against gravity since his car would not be able to pass through the narrow street leading to this building. 

The entire neighborhood was quiet and his dress shoes against the pavement could only be heard. The windows were starting to light up one by one as if they were guiding him and cheering him on to overcome the slopes paved by man. He can't remember the time when he had to venture out like this or the last time when he visited such a place.
