Unpaid Dues (BL)

Yejun sighed as he got bored in his office room. He turned his swiveling chair around so he could see Seoul in all its glory through his crystal-clear glass wall. He smirked to himself when he had thought that he has Seoul in the palm of his hands. His thoughts were soon interrupted by his right-hand man. "Sir.... The Kims have escaped..." he informed. Yejun clearly didn't like the thought of people running away with his father's money... or even his. "The good news?" he asked as he propped up his elbow on his armrest and had rested his chin on his hand while is free hand danced on his desk. "They left their son you see.... His name is Kim Eungoo..."

It's a Hit

"Alpha! Jinhae! Welcome back!"

A man in his mid-20s greeted Kwan and Jinhae as they both entered the hall. The two were currently at the Black Tiger Gang's hall of their HQ. The entire building was a rundown, an abandoned building but they've somehow managed to make it livable.

"Uncle Kwan!!!" A little girl came running down the hall and jumped on Kwan. "Do you like my dress? Papa bought it for me this morning!" She said with glee.

Kwan smiled and began to analyze the dress she was referring to. It was a beautiful pastel green fluffy dress. It was simple and yet looked so perfect when she wore it with her natural long brown way hair down that reached her hip. She looked like a child actress from his point of view.

"I think… Your father had overdone it." He smiled and looked at the man who was now blushing as he took her daughter away from his leader.

"It's beautiful, Tan-hyung. You did an amazing job on this one." Kwan genuinely told him. Mr. Tan had a secret hobby… he sews.

He knew that it wasn't particularly okay with society as everyone had put a label on everything and everyone without even knowing the details. Seeing that Tan was this man with a big body built and tattoos, society has labeled him as someone dangerous. It was only when he was at the headquarters where he could freely sew beautiful dresses for his little princess without judgment.

"Kwan?" Jinhae called for him. He smiled and bowed at them upon leaving, a way for respect. He then went upstairs and followed Jinhae.

He hummed as he entered in his 'office' as they all referred. It wasn't that much. It was an abandoned concrete warehouse that didn't have much any paint on. He loved it that way. He was so engrossed with pure concrete where in terms of architecture which translates to Brutalism.

He didn't put any paint on it just a few plants here and there. He decorated his office with plenty of crawling plants and hanging plants as well as those air purifier plants. He also made sure to have a bed at the very corner for emergency sleeping purposes as he loved to sleep after every mission.

"Here's our next target." Jinhae went straight to the point as he began to lay out some pictures all over the desk.

"You've been quite busy."

"I had so much free time."

"Did you sleep?"

Jinhae shrugged and waved him off. Kwan chuckled at this since he knew how hard he works and sometimes forgets to sleep and eat… especially bathe when he's too focused.

"I've already laid the plan out to the rest of the members and they said that they were free today so yeah…"

"Wait… You've already consulted with them and I was the last person to know?" Kwan said with a hint of annoyance as he leaned on his desk with arms crossed over his chest.

"I like to move fast."

"Since when?"

"Since I got here." Jinhae smiled and slowly walked up towards Kwan and embraced him. "Don't be too sad about it. And besides, we're going hunting today! Isn't that great?!" He shook Kwan slightly making the other crack a smile.

Kwan loves the hunt. It was those times when their gang had to raid an operation and exploiting them in their own little way. It was exciting and they needed it. Once they've found valuable items, they'd sell them for themselves. It was a sketchy way of doing business but as the saying goes, 'desperate times call for desperate measures', and this was not an exception.

Once some of the children were put to sleep the gang began to prepare for the mission. They had a room that was about five meters by five that had their weapons to one side and a couch opposite of it and a rectangular table in the middle. They've always referred to it as the weaponry room but it was far from it seeing that there were only a few riffles and pistols to the side, they've fancied themselves with old-fashioned metal bats and bow and arrows. They were all required to be knowledgeable during hand-to-hand combats and their analysis, never relying on mere weapons for victory. That's how they stayed number 1.

"I want my snipers ready, again, do not shoot until I say so. I want vision on the perimeter, how many, and what they're armed with." Kwan began to instruct. "we're infiltrating the site from here, here, and here. We take them out one by one. We make sure everything is clear before we get the goods. As much as possible, I don't want this to be messy. If worst-case scenario, you can call the shot. You just have to make sure, it's the right one and the one that could let you sleep tonight." Kwan was serious. He looked at all the members as their eyes were glued to the layout in front of them and the pictures that Jinhae had gathered earlier. He didn't want any blood to be spilled right now or anytime soon… hopefully.

"Now, hoods up, masks ups and let's roll!" He ended the short meeting and quickly got on a few jeepneys and motorcycles. All the women stayed behind to guard the children and make sure that the HQ was still intact as soon as they got back.

Jinhae eyes Kwan from the side of his eye as he maneuvered one of the jeepneys. He smiled knowing that their leader was truly remarkable.

So as soon as they got on the site, the snipers of the gang were in position seeing the overview parts of the areas. The gang was split into three groups and they were all in position.

They were some sort of ninjas in the night as they blended in the shadows and remained in stealth mode. All of them waiting in the dark for their leader to give out the order.

"Alpha, there's about 7 men in the east, three are wearing some sort of high-end riffles and the others had their guns strapped to themselves." A sniper reported through their telecoms.

"Good work. Stay alert." Kwan replied. He then looked at Jinhae and smirked. "Want to do the honors or…?"

Jinhae rolled his eyes in response and disappeared into the dark. He was the best in being in stealth mode and everyone knew that. He's like a ghost; one minute he's here and the next thing you know he's gone.

"Sniper B, what's your status?"

"There are heavily armed six men on the west, alpha."

And the report continued as Kwan's snipers reported to have around five men at south with armed riffles. The site was currently located on loading and unloading of trailers by the dock. Jinhae had reported that he's been hunting this shipment since last week and coincidentally wound up here in Korea.

"Okay boys, we move as soon as we get the signal. I want it clean." Kwan said as he brought his black bandana up from his neck to cover his face.

Everyone was silent; there was no sound to be heard except the beating of their hearts in sync by the rush of adrenaline pumping in their veins. This is what they live for and they loved it. As a minute had gone by their excitement grew and their worry for their other member if he was alright. Kwan sighed and was about to check his friend out when all of a sudden-

"KAKAW!!!"

Kwan facepalmed himself by the most ridiculous signal that Jung Jinhae could ever give. The members were trying their best to stifle their laughter while the others were utterly confused. All of the men from the site pointed their guns towards the source of the strange bird call.

"Alpha! All of them are extremely guarded with weapons!"

'A potential trap' Kwan thought. They knew they were coming and they were prepared but the gang still have that element of surprise.

"Like I said, boys… For worst-case scenarios, desperate times call for desperate measures," He said. He inhaled slowly and said, "Move!"

All of the gang members dispersed in the dark, pulling people here and there and countering their attacks. Quiet screams were heard throughout the night.

"AHHHH!!!" An unknown scream was heard and bullets were fired from the west.

Kwan cursed under his breath a signaled everyone to continue as he ran west. He took out a couple of his blades and was ready to pounce on the biggest guy firing but Jinhae had already got to him and put him to sleep.

He glared at his friend but had stayed quiet. He took out his telecom and had asked if everyone was okay. He received word that no one was severely injured and that they were all clear.

"Jinhae!" Kwan yelled when Jinhae was opening up one of the trailers.

"They were guarding this one…"

Kwan gasped at the numerous amount of firearms inside. His eyes caught a glimpse of an m16 rifle, the ones being used in the military.

"JINHAE! What the fuck is this?!"

"Our ticket." Jinhae smiled and motioned for the others to get them.

"Jinhae, we don't do this. Who the fuck even owns this?"

"Does it even matter" Jinhae smiled and began to examine the gorgeous m16 at the front.

"Yes! It matters! How many trailers are there with this?"

"Around five," Jinhae replied as he began to whistle at the bullets in cases all stacked up.

"Jinhae! Who owns this?!" Kwan yelled. Everyone stood frozen in their places. Their alpha never yells at them unless they were really upset and judging by the volume and tone of his voice, Min Kwan was very very upset.

Jinhae sighed and looked at him in the eye and said, "The Golden Dragon Family and the Crimson Peacock Family."
