2nd Year Baseline Assessment I

Peter switched off his alarm, waking up with a yawn. It was finally the day of his assessment.

"Friday Call the Taxi to arrive in 20 Minutes."

"Yes Sir." Friday's autonomous voice replied.

Peter quickly brushed his teeth, showering then headed down for breakfast. He smiled when he realized the maids had prepared his favorite breakfast.

"Thank you!" Peter smiled at the maids, causing them to smile back, as they watched their young master eat.

It felt good to be back eating homemade meals but he did also miss Ella's meals. He decided he would go back to the Abyssal Tyrant's inheritance Ground when he'd reach the 7th stage for his first inscription.

At the moment he had one purpose and that was to grow in strength. He would then get revenge for the Abyssal Tyrant, who bestowed him with power and figure out the purpose of his stigma. There were a lot of uncertainties in his life at the moment but he would move a step at a time with careful planning.

Alex came down the stairs glaring at Peter. However, the latter didn't even face him as in Peter's eyes, Alex wasn't even worth his attention.

"Tsk." Alex kicked a chair out of annoyance, leaving the dining room and heading upstairs again.

After Peter's show of power, none of the brothers wanted to fight him.

He arrived at the front gates of the examination hall in his school attire. He put his hair in a bun and wore his white bandage on his eye. He wore one dimension ring on his left index finger and one on his right pinky finger.

"ID please and reason for visit." The guard at the gates stated.

Peter handed him his ID card, "I'm here for a baseline assessment."

"Okay you're free to enter." The guard handed his ID card back.

Peter smiled, entering through the gates and up the stairs into the large hall.

He could sense several heartbeats within the hall and some languages he didn't understand. Were they foreigners? It was actually normal for people from other countries to move to the United Kingdom, although the city he lived in wasn't the largest.

He could hear someone approaching him and he prepared himself.

"Hi! I'm Uriel Holmes, I recently moved here from the US. Nice to meet you." An orange haired girl, with matching fiery eyes, put out her hand for Peter to shake. She wore a simple white dress and had a golden necklace circling around her neck.

She instantly took an interest in the peculiar boy and decided to approach him as soon as he had entered the hall.

"I'm Peter Magtris." Peter shook her hand, causing the other foreign males and females to look at him oddly. Peter found it odd for a girl such as her to approach him, he could sense that her cultivation was higher than his at the 9th stage of the Novice Rank. She definitely came from a powerful family. Why would she talk to a cripple like him?

'Don't you think you're being pessimistic af? You're good looking bro, you just don't realize it. HAhaha. Maybe she genuinely finds you attractive.' Noah commented.

"I can tell by your accent, you're from around here. What's your favorite food?" She asked excitedly.

'Favorite food? Is she a glutton? Is that the first thing you ask someone?' Noah laughed.

"I guess it would be pancakes." Peter replied.

"Has anyone told you, you have beautiful eyes?" She said changing the subject.

'How can she see my eyes?' Peter thought, feeling odd about the girl, 'Maybe it's a trait.'

"Who are you?" Peter asked, coldly, deeming her as a threat.

"But I've already introduced myself. I'm Uriel Holmes, daughter of the President." her passive hostility seeped out through her words.

The quiet hall got even quieter as all the students looked at the pair with cold eyes.

'The president? As in the current US president's daughter? What is she doing here?!' Peter was confused.

"I have special eyes that let me see a person's power level and it's only natural that I associate myself with the strongest person in this room… Peter Magtris." She said coldly, causing the atmosphere to become even more hostile.

"You think I'm the only one? Everyone can tell you reek of death. You can't hide it." She said sinisterly.

Peter gulped when he felt several eyes fall on him from adult mages. They were probably her bodyguards.

'How do I always manage to pull all the hostility towards me?' Peter shook his head.

"Well. What do you want?" Peter asked nonchalantly.

"Haha. Normally, people would freak out when they'd hear my status but you… you didn't even flinch."

"Can Uriel Holmes please go to room 1 for the assessment?" An announcement played through speakers.

She was going to continue but her name was called by a woman, signalling it was her turn to be assessed.

"Well. See you later Mr Magtris. I'll see you later." She said playfully, before skipping away towards her room. Peter could feel several guards walk with her as escorts.

'So she wasn't lying?' Peter sighed, feeling a guard look at him oddly.

'What an odd girl. She definitely has a screw loose. Who would imagine we'd meet the president's daughter and she'd be a psychopath too? Hahaha!' Noah commented, chuckling.

After her dramatic conversation with him, no other person bothered him, allowing him to meditate in silence until his name was finally called.

"Peter Magtris please go to room 7 for your assessment." A lady's voice played through the speakers.

"Hello there Mr. Magtris. I will guide you to room 7. Please follow me." A woman appeared by Peter's side, guiding him.

The students watching had mixed feelings, realizing the proclaimed 'Strongest student there' was blind? Was the president's daughter lying? Could he really be that strong?

When Peter entered the room, the teacher introduced herself, "Welcome Mr. Magtris. Please take a seat. My name is Miss Granger. I will be taking the one coordinating your assessments."

I decided I'd write Unordinary Magus here and there for fun, since it would be a waste for such a story to just sit and wait.

I will not make any promises for the stability of updates.

Enjoy Reading! ^^
