Jade magnetized everyone. She is far different from the Jade I know. She is accommodating, a smile plastered on her face as she listen and answer everyone's questions. Her words were flowery and her gestures big and animated. I didn't know what to think. She is not bothered at the least that I'm next to her and I know that everything she projects is false.
She's really something.
I excused myself and stood up from my seat. I walked over to the bar counter and ordered a drink.
"Is Jade a native of New York?" Vera asked as she sat beside me.
"No. She migrated from Australia after she finished college," I answered her.
"Oh. She's Australian."
"Yes. She's half-Australian."
"She's quite a beauty, isn't she? I know you're fond of beautiful girls Arys but you found yourself a very striking one this time. I mean, Sofia is pretty too but Ms. Dionna is on a different level."
"Could that be a bad thing?"
