Dine With Me

Pearl Warner had been the lobby manager of this eight-star hotel for over three years, during which she had encountered countless wealthy individuals. From those with a net worth of millions to tens of billions, the hotel's exclusive membership ensured that its guests were all people of considerable means.

However, despite the option to refund the money on their membership card, and the fact that many large conglomerates hosted their guests here and topped up to ten million dollars, Pearl had never witnessed anyone top up 100 million in one go. The person who had just done so must have a net worth of tens of billions; otherwise, they wouldn't have had the courage to make such a move.

While the individuals on the World's Billionaires list were undoubtedly among the world's wealthiest, Pearl had discovered that there were many invisible billionaires who preferred to keep a low profile. Those on the list might not even account for 1% of the actual number of extremely rich people.

Most of these individuals tended to keep a low profile, and the person in front of Pearl was no exception. He was undoubtedly one of the richest people she had ever met, and his young age suggested that he was the scion of an invisible family.

To be honest, when Pearl first saw David, she had looked down on him. His clothing, which was worth less than $200 in total, would not have caught her eye on the street, where she encountered many people dressed similarly.

Upon hearing that David wanted to top up 100 million into his membership card, the front desk, Pearl was convinced that he was attempting to play a prank on them. Despite her skepticism, she maintained her professionalism and proceeded with caution. She allowed David to make the payment and even anticipated his reaction when it failed, prepared to call security if necessary. However, to her surprise, the payment went through, proving that appearances can be deceiving.

Pearl had longed to associate herself with the upper class and their lifestyle, and she had already established connections with them. She aspired to become one of them someday. However, she was not interested in the advances of the nouveau riche, particularly those who only sought her body. Furthermore, from her experience, these people were typically not genuinely wealthy, and their behavior was often uncouth and impulsive. They were nothing more than ostentatious, fake nouveau riches.

Pearl held the hope of catching the attention of a genuine nobleman who preferred to keep a low profile. She saw this young man before her, who had effortlessly topped up 100 million dollars into his membership card, as one of the best among them. He fit all her criteria: young, rich, and discreet. Pearl decided to seize this opportunity to turn her life around and was confident in her qualifications. She couldn't afford to miss this chance.

Meanwhile, the receptionist who had called the manager over with her walkie-talkie was now filled with remorse. If she had gone ahead with David's order, it would have been her commission. But after calling the manager over, she could only watch from the sidelines.

When Pearl regained her composure, she asked David, "Sir, may I see your identification card? I will assist you with the membership procedures."

David handed over his ID to Pearl. He could sense that she was merely going through the motions. They had not asked for his identification beforehand, indicating that they didn't believe he would top up such a large amount. It was only after the payment went through that they bothered to ask for it.

However, David didn't care. He had been looked down upon for the past twenty years. Moreover, the other party was quite polite about it. If this were somewhere else, security might have already kicked him out.

"I am a student at South River University. Henceforth, I shall be taking all three meals here. Please prepare the finest ingredients according to your professional standards for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If I'm unable to make it, kindly dispose of it and proceed with the next meal."

After David spoke, everyone in the room was seized with fear. If they were to use the best ingredients for all three meals, David's meal alone would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per day. Furthermore, they were expected to dispose of it if he couldn't come. How extravagant! One couldn't even call him nouveau riche. He was a billionaire of godly proportions!

Moreover, he was a student at South River University. He was so extravagant at such a young age. Was he set to become the legendary, top-tier, handsome, and tall rich man?

Everyone gazed at David with starry eyes, longing to rely on the wealthy man. They were willing to sacrifice almost anything to do so. Although they didn't dare to dream of marrying into a top-tier rich family like his, they knew that by currying favor with him, they could reap plentiful benefits.

In fact, if David so much as dropped a hint, these people would likely line up to climb into his bed.

"Very well, Mr. Liddell. We will comply with your wishes," they said.

Once the formalities were complete, David was escorted to a luxurious private room.

"Mr. Liddell, this is our finest private room. We will serve your food shortly. Please take my name card, and don't hesitate to contact me if you require anything. I'll ensure that you receive the best service possible," Pearl informed him.

She handed him her personal card, which she reserved only for select individuals who met her standards, rather than the hotel's official one.

David picked up Pearl's name card, noticing her fair and delicate hand graze the back of his, sending shivers down his spine. "What a seductive woman with a soft hand," he mused to himself.

Before long, the table was adorned with a mouth-watering feast, boasting an array of delicacies from around the world. Lobsters, abalone, Alaskan King Crab, bird's nest, tomahawk, foie gras, jamón, caviar, and more, all tantalizingly arranged.

Each dish looked delectable, and to top it off, there was a bottle of Lafite from 1983.

All of these items cost approximately over a million dollars. Although David couldn't possibly consume all of it, he didn't seem to mind.

He had reached a point where he was so impoverished that money was all he had left. If he couldn't finish the lavish spread before him, he would simply discard the remaining food. In his eyes, he had all the money in the world!

With great delight, David sampled a bit of everything on the table. It was, after all, an eight-star hotel that lived up to its prestigious reputation. The aroma, presentation, and flavors of each dish were truly exceptional.

As he was savoring the delightful feast, Pearl, one of the hotel's staff, approached him and inquired, "Mr. Lidell, how is the food? Are you satisfied?" She leaned in close to him, and David could feel her warm breath against the nape of his neck. The sensation was rather pleasant.

"Absolutely splendid. This establishment is truly deserving of its eight-star rating. The food is exceptional in every aspect. I couldn't be happier," David replied with a contented smile.

"Mr. Lidell, I hope you're enjoying your meal. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything else. I won't disturb you any longer," Pearl said, thinking it was almost time to leave.

"Ms. Warner, I can't finish all this food by myself, and I can't help feeling like something's missing without a beautiful woman to accompany me. Would you do me the honor of dining with me?" David asked.

David found Pearl attractive. She had a hot body and a cute face, and her outfit accentuated her natural advantages. Her scent could also arouse a man's hormones, and any of her unintentional gestures would tickle his senses. It would be the ultimate pleasure to dine with such a beauty.

"Um, Mr. Lidell, I don't think that's appropriate. Besides, it's working hours for me," Pearl said hesitantly.

She wanted to dine with David to strengthen their bond and because she had never had this type of premium food before. However, she knew that as a woman, she should be reserved and not reveal herself fully. Keeping her distance would be the best way to flirt with him.

The seduction of a fully naked woman was never as great as that of a woman wearing a see-through shirt.

Using her working hours as an excuse, Pearl hoped to decline without being rude. In reality, her boss would be pleased if they knew she was dining with a VIP like David.

However, Pearl did not decline outright, and this answer would trigger David's competitiveness.

Sure enough, David spoke.

"What's inappropriate about this? Come to me if your boss scolds you, and I'll go to him. If it doesn't work, I'll buy the hotel and make you the boss," David said arrogantly.

"Then I will accept your request," Pearl said, no longer being reserved. She immediately sat down to open the wine for David. She knew that if she continued to make excuses, she might enrage David, so she had to handle the situation just right.

When David mentioned buying the hotel and making her the boss, Pearl smiled and thought nothing of it.

"What a joke. This hotel would cost more than 15 billion if he wanted to buy it. Even though I have high hopes for David, I don't think he has that ability," Pearl thought to herself.

There were a lot of people with net worths of billions, tens of billions, or even hundreds of billions, but most of them obtained their wealth from stocks or other virtual items. There were not many people who could directly take out tens of billions of dollars with a wave of their hand. Those people were the real aristocrats.

If David really bought the Golden Leaf Hotel and made her the boss, Pearl would be hell-bent on staying with him. She would even die for him.

David didn't know what Pearl was thinking at this time. If he did, he would buy the hotel directly. This was nothing. He would buy it even if it cost 30 billion, let alone 15 billion.

After their conversation, the two of them finished their meal while chatting happily.
