Chapter XCV - His Name is Nord*ck (part 2)

I stared at my clothes to see if there's anything wet, but it seems like my brown dress is fine. Plauren walked towards me and lifted his hand towards me.

"Please, my lady. Call me Plauren."

His hand held high as if waiting for me to take his hand. I simply slapped it away and moved towards the receptionist.

"So, I can register now?"

The receptionist lady was quite surprised when I suddenly walked towards her and ignored the narcissist guy. She then nodded at high speed.

"Let me see your recommendation letter."

I gave her the letter and she wrote some stuff on a paper. Plauren is over there, frozen like a stone.

"Here you go! This is your new academy's identity card! You can use this card as your space luggage, like a space ring. Be sure not to lose it!"

"Oh... That's neat."

I stared at the card for a while. This thing can work like a magic ring, huh? How convenient.

Written on the card is my name, along with my magician rank. Currently the rank says I'm a newbie mage. I'm not sure if I know all of the magician ranks here, but I'm pretty sure newbie is the lowest rank.

Aside from name and rank, the card also showed my dorm room number and my age, as well as birth date. Now, how the hell did they even get that information?

"Now, you can explore around the academy! Everything you need to know about the academy is already inside that card, like the guide book as well as your uniform. Remember, class starts tomorrow!"

The receptionist lady said to me, so I checked the content of the card. It's true, I can sense some clothes in here, as well as a book and a map. Wait, why would I need a map?

"Thank you so much."

I turned to the left and took a step, but somehow I realized the ground is now filled with water.

"Now, what would happen to the floor?"

I asked the frozen guy, still had his hand high. He moved and straightened his posture, with his gaze down.

"What would happen to the floor, you say?"

He suddenly moved and touched the ground, and the ground turned into ice. Now, the floor is slippery.

"Vahha! Now the water is no more!"

I took out a deep breath and conjured fire on the ground. The flames began burning heavily on the floor. The ice melts into water, and the water evaporates into mist. The whole room turned foggy very quickly, and it was also quite warm.

"What the hell did you just do!?"

Plauren said as he rushed towards the gate to get out from the mist. The receptionist too ran out from the mist. Meanwhile, I'm already outside of the room.

"I got rid of the water."

"Yeah! By turning the room into a mist!"

"That's still way better than what you just did."

We both complained to each other until the receptionist felt a person coming. Plauren also dropped his surprised on him, and I followed their gaze.

Up above us, coming from the direction of the academy, is a single man floating in the air. He slowly descended, and let his eyes study us as he slowly got closer.

The first thing I noticed is his sharp long elven ears. His long yellow hair goes all the way to the shoulder, and his elf ears point out from the hair. His green eyes are half opened as if he studied everyone here. His posture is at least two meters tall, and his foot landing on the ground can't be sensed at all.

Yeah… I couldn't sense him at all.

This guy is on a whole other level.

"H-Headmaster!!"

The receptionist bowed, but Plauren only moved his body to face the headmaster. Then all of the sudden, his hand moved and saluted the elf.

"Greetings, headmaster! I have done what you have asked!"

"Thank you, Plauren. You may return to your dorm."

"Yes sir!"

Dorm?

Seeing how that guy is wearing a uniform, I was a fool to think he was an adult. He is also a student here, most likely part of a student council or something.

The headmaster's voice was somehow calming, but scary calming. Like there's a hint of magic energy inside his tone. At least, I felt that much.

"Rize, right? Come with me."

He suddenly floated upwards and headed to the academy. I don't see how I can follow him when he is flying, but I decided to follow him anyway.

I turned towards the receptionist lady and bade farewell.

"Thank you for helping me, ma'am."

"Ah, yes, don't-"

I leaped away before she was able to finish.

The headmaster flew all the way towards the large balcony on the second floor of the building in the middle. I leaped from the other building and landed on that same balcony before following him inside.

The inside seemed to be quite empty. There is a lot of expensive looking furniture, as well as the glamorous ceiling light, but there aren't many people here.

Some of them are wearing the same clothes as Plauren worn, which means they were students. Around three are wearing different clothes, and they seemed to be an adult, so I assumed that they were the teachers.

The headmaster kept on walking up the stairs, so I followed him. We arrived in front of a large golden door with a diamond handle. The headmaster opened it and went inside, and then closed the door.

I was confused as to why he suddenly closed the door on me, so I tried following him and opened the door. But when I touched the door handle, my vision turned white.

And suddenly, I am already inside the room.

I panicked a little and looked around with confusion. The headmaster's room is fairly small to my surprise. It's bigger than Valon's office, definitely, but it's still quite small for a person like him.

A single chandelier on the ceiling lit the room up, and the yellow wall crystals are also lighting up the place. The two sofas facing each other are placed in the middle, with a table as long as the sofas placed between the two.

The headmaster is sitting on his table, which is placed down on the window wall and facing the rest of the room. The tables for decorations are placed all over the walls behind the sofas, as well as the wardrobes for the trophies.

Most of the decorations are made out of gold, and the wardrobes filled with trophies are made with some high quality wood.

This room is... glamorous.

"Surprised?"

His tone is somewhat changed. I can no longer feel the pleasantness from when I heard him down there.

Which means he has decided to show me his true color, a different color than what he showed to his students.

"Kind of… I have never experienced teleportation magic before."

I said as I sat on the sofa next to me. His eyes are studying me while his mouth is chuckling.

"Now then, Rize. I don't really get why the master somehow thinks very highly of you..."

He stood up and sat on the sofa across me. From the smirk on his face, and from the question he asked, I can tell that he is going to test me.

"Now, why don't you… show me?"
