Chapter 8

We flew for late morning; Luke had a goal of the place where we were going to stop at. The boys with Luke where hungry not thought to have food but no one looked at me. I was munching on some jerky I had made from hunted meat. Since i had to take care of myself I had learn a long time ago to always prepare some sort of food that was easy to have on the go. Luke took one glance at me and had to double take as he realizes i had pack some food togo.

I started to laugh at the face he had because he was ready to tear apart the boys. When we reached the clearing, everyone got off of the dragons. The boys open their mouth only to see the glare that Luke had on his face.

"I am going hunting," I said. "While I am out I am scouting and make sure the area is safe. Before I leave, I am going to set up a barrier to safeguard everyone."

The boys start to complain how there was no food to eat. As they continue on, I was setting up the barrier where only friendlies can enter. As they continue to complain as they attempt to set up camp, I on the other hand was getting pissed off.

"Luke I am off to get some food," I said as I walked away.

As I walked away and saw one thing that I never imagine seeing Vale do. She was cuddled up to Raw as they seem to be talking. I thought that it was quite the picture as I knew she had started to give up on finding a mate to stay with. 

Once I enter the woods around the camp site we were using. Peace finally came over me in waves. There is times where I just hate how everyone has something to say instead of just doing what they are talking about.

As I went along finding rabbits here and there mostly at the start, I also remember our large meat eaters that are our companion friends in this journey. So, I worked on tracking down some large game that could feed them. Finding signs of deer, moose, and bear seems to help out on feeding them. After getting a few large animals I knew I would have to call in some help but before I did so I noticed something off.

Double checking the signs there was a pack of wolves chasing some prey. The more I checked the more I realized that the prey was human like. It could be a dwarf, elf, or orc child that could also make similar signs as humans when they are on the run. I would not know who it is until I find them, so off I went tracking to find and rescue that person.

My big surprise was when I got closer to where they were. Being experienced in tracking down what I needed to find in the woods, I found that I need to find in the least expected place.

There end up being an Elvan boy up in a tree doing his best to stay away from the danger. What had him in the tree was one mean bear that was persistent on getting to him.
