Azzurra

Delilah is sited on top of a roof in the land of Zombito. She has a bottle of beer and smokes in her hand, she is wearing a body-fit tank top, ankle-length jeans, and knee-high boots. She closes her eyes as she begins to daydream.

FLASHBACK 

A couple of days later Delilah had sent a message to Opal, and Noam. Again, he was used as a message to her. They were to meet at Zombito by 12:20 in the afternoon.

FLASHBACK

Delilah continued her daydream as footsteps on the dirty ground could be heard. She opened her eyes as she came face to face with Opal. 

"You look…" said Delilah putting out her cigarette. "Wasted. All those skills and gifts you have wasted."

"…"

"What? Did I hurt your feelings 'Bloody Reaper'!?"

"I wouldn't shout that name if I were you and I rebuke that name," said Opal. "Remember we are in the land of zombies…" Opal reminds her where they are to not attract any zombies to them.

"Let's cut to the chase." Delilah cuts Opal off. "I came here to fight you. We all know zombies wouldn't mind a little blood on their food."

Noam is watering the plants outside at the back of the apartment. The doorbell rings alerting him that someone is at the door. He goes to check who it is. He looks through the peephole he sees a tall, dark person in a creepy clown mask that looks old, a bit rusty, and dirty with dried-up blood. Noam was about to walk away before the person at the door called out to him.

"Noam." Called out the person. "I know you're in there. I am Opal's half-brother. I came to see her. It has been a while."

Noam opens the door. The man at the door removes his mask to reveal his face. It was Gaius. And at his back is another man who is standing at his back. They both enter as they are asked to sit.

"I am Gaius. This man beside me is to be … Opal's new husband."

"… WHAT…" said Noam in disbelief. "What's your name new… h-husband."

 "…Louie." Said the man.

"Anything else you need to tell me?" 

"I was sent by my master. I promised him to love my new wife just as I am obsessed with him and how he is with Miss Opal. Don't worry I can share."

"…"

'I don't think that's true. Psychopath' Gaius says in thought.

Opal and Delilah are in hand-to-hand combat. They are both covered in their blood. They are on the lower ground level of one of the buildings. 

"You know… there's something about you I just don't understand." Said Delilah dodging one of Opal's punches. "You have something that most people don't have and what others would say 'they wanted more' even though they are already gifted."

"D-Delilah look I do not understand what the fuck you are talking about," Opal says leaving Delilah. Making a safe distance from one another. "I have really big and soft boobs, big ass and hips, soft, thick and melanized skin, tiny waist, long dyed white locks, albino eyed on the left and blue-eyed on the right."

"Who the fuck asked?!"

"You said I have something that most people don't have. Most people being you of course."

Out of anger, Delilah uses her shockwave powers on Opal blasting her out of the building, and down to the ground floor where the zombies are. Delilah goes to see if the work was done, to see if the shockwave had killed Opal from the hole in the wall. When she looked down all she could see was nothing but the dust and some derby.

Delilah turns to take her leave, and just then she hears her name being called out. She turns to see Opal holding two zombies with a rope as she throws them at her. Delilah cuts them in half with her sword. Opal takes the opportunity to land a blow on Delilah. The force of Opal's punch drives Delilah threw the walls of the building.

"Delilah baby I'm done with you…" Opal says playfully.

"Screw you!"

Delilah gets back up to fight Opal. This will be a very bloody fight. 

At the Royal place the new empress of Kadetia. She goes by the name Empress Azzurra Calliope India Lombok III. She is in bed with her first husband and senior to all her husbands. They are in a spoon position. She picks up a file that has some paperwork inside. 

She picks up a paper that has Opal's information. Azzurra takes notice of the scares on Opal's face. She brings out a picture of herself when she was a little girl and some other kids. She noticed a girl that was standing next to her was only three kids away from her. The girl has a tattoo on her left thigh, just like the Opal in the picture. So she brought both pictures next to each other but the two individuals looked nothing alike.

Her husband who is with her noticed that she was in distress. So he decided to talk to her:

"Hey, baby. Why the long face?" asked her husband.

"Oh, it's nothing." Said Azzurra. "I just remembered that one of the participants a couple of months ago reminds me of someone… but it's nothing. Because that person died a long time ago when our parents arranged our marriage when we were ten years old."

"Well… I know that you and most of your step-siblings look alike and most of them are seen from time to time. Most especially, the fact that you are hunting down some of them for treason, terrorizing the empire since the late emperor had passed away, and cybercrime. Some of them I even thought they were dead."

"Yeah," Azzurra says with a smile. "I am glad that two people are gone and gone for good. I heard they were some criminals of the war that the war gave birth to and they were the most terrifying 'KILLERS', 'ABOMINATION OF KILLING' for the way they killed people. I …"

A knock could be heard on the door. They permanent the person to enter, it was the senior butler of the palace.

"Your majesty." Said the butler. "Lady Delilah and the Captain of the Imperial Knights are here."

"Want do they want now!!!" said Azzurra angrily. 

Back in the underground town, in the cave. The beast has awoken and it is angry and violent. The whole society felt the whole ground shake like it was an earthquake. The beast crashes into people's homes and kills many. Unfortunately for the people in the upper society, the imperial city is moving to the ground covering the hole most people use to enter and exit the place. Luckily those of them who were alive were saved by the local authorities and local heroes.

Everyone who was out could not believe what just happened in a matter of days it made headlines. Opal returned to the house, she looked around for the hole but she could not find it. The only thing she could find was the homeless people of the society. She stopped by someone who was consoling a family.

"Excuse me?" she asked. "What happened here?"

"Can't you see where homeless and lost everything and everyone?!" said the person in anger. "Or were you not around when all this was happening?"

Opal walks away in disappointment. She went looking for Noam. She was lucky to see him by the well getting water with Louie who is hurt but not badly next to them is Gaius. She runs up to them. Gaius tells her everything that happened while she was not around. 

"What are the things that you saved?" she asked them.

"Just us and some of your things." Said Gaius holding a large briefcase.

"How did you all get out?"

"The local heroes and police helped us out of the hole before it was permanently shot." Said Louie. "And sorry where are my manners? I am Louie, the Knight to my late master. He said I should be with you as one of the things he couldn't do on his wise list."

"…Okay… we will talk about this later but first let me see if there is any news."

She leaves to be with the massive crowd talking to the chiefs about their situations. The leaders were beating around the bush about their problems.

"WHERE ARE WE GOING TO LIVE?" Said an old lady with rage in her voice.

"YEAH!!! WE ALL HAVE A LIVING TO MAKE!" Said another person.

"NO MORE BULL SHIT!!!" Yelled another person.

Everyone was going wild and crazy about their situation. Opal was in the middle of the crowd listening to the crowd. She decides to move from where she is standing and meets up with a friend, a co-worker, and her lunatic twin brother 'VLAD'. She meets up with him, he tells her the 'behind the scenes' of what happened. As they are having a conversation with each other a group of old, fat, and slender men and women step onto a flying bus, each person carrying their family and properties. In the corner of Opal's eyes, she sees, a royal member of the empire and the biggest prime minister handing out a card made of gold and rubies to the evil leaders of their now-destroyed home.

The only thing Opal could say was;

"They finally sold all of us out." She says looking at Vlad and to the flying bus that can become invisible. "We are slaves again." 

Opal is situated in a bar where people eat and drink in the imperial District of the capital. She is watching the holographic television on the matter that happened two days ago. Azzurra is being interviewed on the matter.

Azzurra tells the media that she will look into the matter and there will be places arranged for the homeless people both in the capital and the towns. The colors of the cards given to them will represent where they will stay. She talks about the whereabouts of the notorious Bloody Reaper. The gold meant the capital and the red meant the town. Mostly the elites went to the capital. 

Turns out the whole of Kadetia never knew about the society living underground until this very day that Azzurra talks about. Only a few people knew about them.

After sitting down and listening to the news Opal gets up and leaves as she pays for her drink. She heads back home. Many people were looking for a good place to stay and the so-called promised cards for the empress, Opal, and some people found an entrance that they could use to go in and then made another hole where it could be an exit. In the society that was destroyed by the beast, the beast lays there dead as its body starts to decay. A face mask was the only way to live in their homes.

 Unfortunately, not everyone was able to get such cards. As always the media will keep something out of the public eye. One-third of the population did not get these cards. This was brought to Azzurra's notice. Rather than talking about this with her board members, she gives this to her Captain of the Military Imperial Knights. To do whatever they want and to make sure it never gets to her and if there is evidence she should never be spoken of.

Opal is taking a bath while her two new husbands prepare the bed for the night. While she was enjoying her bath she noticed something about Noam's back. It looked like two bones were trying to grow out of his body. So she calls him to come to her in the bath.

"Noam!" she calls out. "Come over here I want to see something."

"But…" he says feeling embarrassed and knowing fully well that she is drunk also she is capable of harming him. 

"I am not asking. I am commanding it."

He goes up to her, and she tells him to turn around and remove his shirt. She sees that Noam's back is growing feathers but they are injured. She places her hand on his back starting from his nape. She uses her fingertip to trace a line on his back down to his tall bone. She tells him to go to bed.

"You don't want me to join you?" he asked.

"I haven't had sex with you yet. After all that we faked that couples t-test…whatever they call it… just go. Also, make sure to take that healing oil before you sleep most especially your medications."

Unknown to everyone who was able to see some of their belongings and houses, they did not expect their world to be destroyed once again. But this time many people will die. Nowhere to run to.
