Prologue

Three months had passed since what was referred to as the "Reed Incident", in which a subject unbeknownst to the others, died during an experiment administered by Overseer Raphael.

Though his death was only one among the rest, all of whom were Angels ordered to kill Reed himself. The entire experiment could be described as a bloody massacre.

Things fell into disarray quite quickly, and the only way to neutralize the threat was by having Overseer Azrael step in and collect Reed's head himself.

The result: a torso, two legs, two arms, and a head. All separate segments of Reed; the remains of Regardius.

Since then, Overseer Raphael hadn't made much of an appearance. Whether he was being penalized, or looked down on by the other Overseers, no one necessarily knew. Questions upon his name asked by the experimentees were met with no regardance. Those involved with the Reed Incident seemed faded out of time, almost vanished since then.

Three months later, the present, the now, the other experimentees continued to perform under the Overseers who conducted experiments: Ariel, Chamuel, and Jophiel, now excluding Raphael.

Ariel harboured the two females of the seven subjects. Chamuel trained his two subjects with experiments under his own domain. Jophiel continued to push towards progress with his two subjects. Raphael was nowhere to be found.

But a sudden event had occurred, inexplicable to the subjects themselves. Under Jophiel, was now three experimentees. Ian Sedia, Gian-Luca Yvox, and the new seventh subject, Abel Vaso.

Apologies for the delay of this next chapter, it’s been a while since I’ve published and I’m sorry! School has been taking up all the time I’d usually take to write, I’ll try to manage my time better.

But now, we start a new volume, continuing after the events of Archangel.

Welcome, to Fractal.
