" I dey vex, I dey vex. my head dey burn, make there give me water, I want turn am for my head ( I'm upset, I'm upset. my heads on fire, someone should give me water to turn it on my head)" Amanda said back and forth in her room.

" so Fabian nor get feelings for you. na best friend he see you as. that boy na craze ( so Fabian doesn't have feelings for you. he only sees you as his best friend. that boy is out of his mind)" Praise who accompanied Amanda in moving back and forth said still angry.

" nawa o, make I join una make he not be like say I nor dey vex ( I should join you guys so it won't seem like I'm not angry)" Kelly said standing up from the couch. after thinking for a while Amanda stood still and was staring at Praise.

" so I was his best female friend and I thought he liked me" Amanda said as tears filled her eyes then she rest her head on Praises shoulder. praise started rubbing Amanda's head to cool her down.

" it's alright. look at me" Praise said raising Amanda's head so she would look at her. " just stop liking him, make him you friend okay? " Praise said looking at Amanda's teary eyes.

" it's your easy " Kelly enterted the conversation.

" yeah" Amanda agreed.

Amanda nodded her head. okay, then cleaned her tears.

" who nor know her, she's famous for her acting ( who doesn't know her, she's famous for her acting) " Favour replied.

" the girl dey do like say na she fine pass, boys go gist her, she go say she not want ( she's acting like she's the most prettiest girl, boys are asking her to be their girlfriend, but she'll be like she don't want them) " Joy said. then another girl started clapping her hands.

" leave am make she dey form fine girl, me I dey fine boyfriend o. the one wey I dey pray make he gist me na Fabian ( leave her, let her be the pretty girl, me I'm looking for a boyfriend, but the one I'm really praying for is Fabian) " Fatima said. then they saw Fabian and Amanda coming out of the canteen, both laughing.

" I even hear say Fabian and Amanda na childhood friends ( I even heard that Fabian and Amanda are childhood friends) " Runor said looking at Amanda and Fabian. which made it obvious that they were talking about them.

" people just dey, dey judge other people. aproko them ( people would just sit down and talk about other people. gossipers) " Amanda said walking past them, then both she and Fabian laughed out loud. the girls became so angry, mostly Favor who hated Amanda since the day her boyfriend broke up with her because he stared liking Amanda more than her.

Fabian dropped Amanda at her campus gate, he didn't felt like leaving her, so he hold her left hand, still smiling and looking deep inside her eyes.

" you are really beautiful " Fabian admitted.

" you've been my friend for so long and it's now you're telling me this? " Amanda smiled then removed his hand from hers.

'bye bye best friend " she waved then entered inside the campus

" best friend ?" Fabian felt sad at that word, then he walked away.

" ah why Fabian, why you just dey make my heart dey go bum bum bum ( ah why Fabian, why do you make my heart go bum bum bum) " she said then used her purse to cover her face, " it's killing me because you only see me as your best friend " she said then entered her room.

" Aman afa" Praise yelled from her bed.

" he nor far, he near ( it's not far, it's close by) " Amanda replied. she turned to Kelly who was talking on the phone while smiling.

" who's she talking to? " Amanda asked.

" Justin " Praise replied.

" good for her" Amanda said then sat on the couch, she brought out her phone.

" what are you doing? " Praise asked.

" wanna call my brother " she replied. before Amanda knew it, Praise was already beside her.

" which of you brother? " Praise asked smiling.

" which do you want? " Amanda asked.

" Kelvin" she replied.

" okay" Amanda said, then she called.

" hello princess" Kelvin said through the phone.

" and Praise" she added.

" hello Kelvin, how are you" she asked. she tried to pretend but she can't hide anything from her brother.

" what is wrong? " Kelvin asked.

" I forgot to tell you that Fabian is here in Bayelsa and I he only sees me as his best friend " she explained.

" okay, then send him as a friend too. if you can't then make him like you, by doing what he likes "

" you are smart " Amanda said while nodding her head.

" so where are the others" Amanda asked.

" they are out with their girlfriends " Kelvin replied.

" what about you" she asked. then Praise turned to her.

" okay, are you lonely? do you need a girlfriend? " Amanda asked with a tone used to talk to a baby. Praise eyes widened as she continued starinu at Amanda.

" what " both Praise and Amanda yelled. it came out as a different reaction. one happily surprised while the other one shocked, like madly shocked.

" what, you never keep secrets from... " Kelvin cut her off by cutting the call. Amanda turned to Praise who was staring at her angrily.

" what's wrong " Amanda asked confused.
