Little Sister

"Hello, Seichi-kun. You came at last," she greeted with a smile, casually playing with her hair in a cute way.

...

"Yes, master," Seichi blushed intensely at the sight of his master's impressive forms, making it difficult for him to speak normally.

"Don't be shy, please come inside," she took her disciple's hand and guided him into the house. "Make yourself comfortable."

Seichi politely removed his shoes and held them up. "Where should I leave my shoes, master?"

"Give them to me," she took the shoes from him without waiting for his response. "Now, please make your way to the living room while I put these in the shoe rack. We can start our lesson there."

The young man then began searching through the house in search of the living room.

...

He searched around extensively, becoming uncertain about which living room she had meant. "There are so many living rooms here! Which one was she referring to?!"

Just as Seichi started losing hope of finding it, a woman's hands gently touched his shoulder. "What are you looking for, Seichi-kun? The living room is not this way."

At that moment, Seichi turned towards Nao with nervousness evident in his demeanor. "Then where is it?"

"I'll show you," Nao turned in the opposite direction from where Seichi was heading and gracefully led him there as he followed nervously behind.

...

"It's actually the second living room after you enter," Nao informed Seichi, bringing him out of his thoughts. "Why don't you have a seat on the sofa while I go change into something more suitable for our lesson?"

"Yes, master," Seichi promptly sat down on the sofa as Nao left to prepare for their lesson.

The sofa was incredibly comfortable, much more so than his own.

...

A minute went by.

As Seichi waited for his master to get dressed, the house fell into silence until a young girl's voice shattered it. "Shit! Go fuck yourself, jerk!"

Seichi hurried towards the sound and found a young girl engrossed in video games. "Phew, I thought something bad was happening happened."

Approaching the girl, Seichi greeted her with a friendly "Hey there, little girl, what game are you playing?"

His greeting caused her to lose focus, causing her to die, on her game and she reacted with frustration. Anger flared up in the girl as she jumped from her chair onto Seichi. "How dare you interrupt my game like that?!"

Luckily, Seichi's reflexes were not weak enough to allow her attack to hit her target. "Such a fiery girl, reminds me of Miyuki."

He did not let any of her attacks land until she activated a strange blue aura around her fist, which surprised Seichi. He simply grabbed it.

The blue aura made him wonder, "Is this the same aura that Miyuki used tod-" but his thoughts were interrupted by the fiery little girl. "Let go of my fist, now!"

She was blushing and embarrassed, causing Seichi's mouth corners to rise, resulting in his charming smile. "So cute. She is making me wish to have a little sister"

That smile of his even worked on a little girl who presumably attended elementary school, making her realize just how much handsome the person before her was, thus causing her to turn red. "I-I said l-let my f-fist go."

"Ok, if you say so," the handsome lad slowly released her fist and lowered himself to her height by bending his knees. "What's your name, little fiery girl?"

Although she was blushing due to having such a handsome face in front of her, she still maintained her fiery side. "That's something I should ask you! You are in my fricking house!"

"You are right, I'm Tetsuo Seichi, the new disciple of Akiyama Nao," his smile still charming the little girl. "Now, it's your turn to answer."

"I am- wait, you are Nao-nee's disciple?!" The girl was startled but somewhat happy. "So, my sister finally took a disciple!"

"Yes, I have taken a disciple," Nao appeared behind both of them, wearing a Lab Coat.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" The little girl asked her beloved sister, who gently flicked her forehead. "Sumiko, that's because he became my disciple today," she explained.

The little girl's forehead turned red. "Why did you have to hurt me?"

"Because I felt like it."

"That's not a good reason to-" the little girl, touching her forehead in pain, was interrupted by the handsome guy. "Sumiko, such a cute name and it suits you well, child with pure thoughts," Seichi complimented.

Seichi's words made the little girl blush even more. "T-Thank you."

"Ahahahahaha," Nao burst out laughing at her little sister's reaction. "You get so shy in front of a handsome guy; maybe I should invite Seichi here more often to keep you quiet."

"SHUT UP!" the little girl was now even more embarrassed.

"Hahahaha," both Seichi and his master laughed at the little girl's cuteness.

"Dammit," the little girl puffed her cheeks.

...

"So, we will begin the alchemy lesson now."

Seichi promptly raised his hand. "Master, may I ask a question?"

"Of course, go ahead," Nao allowed her disciple to speak. "Is Sumiko really joining me for this lesson?"

"No, she is just here to keep you company as she is your senior!"

"My senior? Sumiko?" Seichi was puzzled as he looked at the young girl. How could someone so young be considered his senior?

Nao smiled. "Yes, in fact, she is a 2nd rank Alchemist!"

---

Alchemists are also ranked, but not using letters of the alphabet.

An Alchemist's ranking is based on the level of potions they can create, so with numbers, since potions themselves are ranked numerically.

---

"What? A 2nd rank Alchemist?!" Seichi was astonished that such a young girl could possess such alchemical prowess.

"Hehehe, I know I'm amazing," Sumiko said proudly before being reprimanded by her older sister. "You would have already reached 3rd rank if you had not been slacking off in your training!"

With those words from her sister, Sumiko's pride quickly vanished.
