Unique Skill: Weaponisation

A unique skill, a power that each of the students that were summoned to the world of Alvira received. These powers varied, but they were all incredibly powerful, and beyond the wildest dreams of the students who had previously been living normal lives. When they were summoned, these students were also equipped with the Hero System that would allow them to gain the skills of a Hero and grow stronger by gaining powers from levelling up. As well as this, by using the kingdoms resources they could grow stronger with skill books and powerful potions. However, one student rejected this system, as well as the Kingdom's help, and decided to only use his Unique Skill to make a name for himself.

Summoned

"Welcome Heroes, I am the King of Alvira, and I have summoned you here to strengthen our kingdom in its time of need. You see, the Demon Army is growing in strength under the new Demon King, and you will become our strength. I know you must all be shocked, but we will help you adjust to the situation as well as we can. You have all been gifted with a Unique Skill by the Gods of this world, and alongside this we will implant the Hero system into each of you to allow you to grow stronger through levelling up and gaining Hero skills. We also have the best resources available to assist with your growth, so please, assist us in our fight against the Demons."

A group of ten students were stood confused, but excited in front of the man with a majestic aura, who had introduced himself as the king which was unsurprising. Almost all of the students at least, as one of them seemed uninterested and decided to leave without receiving the Hero system or any resources.

Nobody seemed to try and stop him, as the guards seemed more interested in the nine Heroes that were being injected with the Hero system at his time of leaving. This student was Cyrax, he had blonde wavy hair and tanned skin, and if he was completely honest, he had no intention of becoming a grand hero or getting an injection to make him stronger.

He had always wanted to have a summoned to another world experience but he did not want to be a hero, so he did not hesitate when it came to leaving the large castle, albeit after getting lost a few times. As an otherworlder, Cyrax knew that he would probably be fine even without a hero system or any help, as he would have his unique skill no matter what, and he wanted to find out what that skill was.

The castle was situated atop a hill in a forest, with a road that connected it to a large city which Cyrax could see from the castle doors, as he was higher up than it. He wanted to explore the city, and if possible he wanted to live an adventurers life and make a name for himself without the handouts from the King or the pressure of being a hero.

First though, he would have to go through the small forest land to actually reach the city, so he began to climb down the hill carefully, as to not fall. Once he reached the bottom of the hill, Cyrax looked around and realised that despite looking very compact from above, the trees were quite spaced out, and it was just the leaves that made it look as though there were a lot more trees than there actually were.

He began to walk through the forest, following the trail that was already set out, and despite the area being quite dark, Cyrax was not afraid, instead excited about his journey.

Not long after he started walking, Cyrax had his first real otherworldly experience, as a small blue creature jumped out at him from behind a tree. Immediately after spotting it, Cyrax knew what the creature was, a slime, the weakest type of enemy in anime and games alike.

With no weapon to aid him, and only his school uniform as armour, Cyrax got ready to fight the monster. He did not have much experience when it came to fighting, as he had lived a relatively mundane life with his family, he came from an average household with no real issues so he had no reason to toughen up for survival.

This is not to say that he was in bad shape, but he wasn't particularly strong or skilled at fighting. Luckily, his mobility wouldn't be greatly affected by his school clothes, as he had taken his tie and blazer off, so his shirt with his sleeves rolled up and his school trousers would not limit him too much.

Cyrax didn't know the best strategy to defeat a slime, but he tried his first instinct, and kicked it. This caused the blob of jelly to roll backwards and be knocked off guard. Seeing as kicking it was somewhat effective, and had not burned his clothes, Cyrax assumed it wasn't an acidic slime and kicked it again.

He felt his foot go slightly into the slime, and it stuck onto him before dropping off soon after. This same thing happened when he kicked it again, but this time he decided to pick it up to restrict its movement.

He saw a strange looking black ball inside the slime, and he reached his hand inside to grab it. When he grabbed it, it immediately shattered and the slimes body began to fall through Cyrax's fingers and it dropped to the ground.

Something strange happened when the slime died, it wasn't like in an anime where he felt himself becoming stronger by absorbing the essence of the slime, instead he had a screen in front of him appear.

*Would You Like To Use The Unique Skill Weaponise To Transform The Slime Corpse Into A Weapon*

Cyrax looked at the screen and was pleased to have discovered his unique skill. It looked like it could be quite strong, as he could turn monsters into weapons after he defeated them.

He obviously wanted to test his skill out, and answered the screen, "Yes."

After answering, Cyrax saw the corpse of the slime on the ground start to assemble into a shape. This shape was a shield, and when Cyrax picked it up, he got another screen in front of him.

*Slime Shield (F)

Malleable Defence: Able to absorb impact without breaking

Sticky Surface: Surface of the shield can cause anything it touches to stick to it

Self-Repair: Able to regenerate from slight damage*

The shield seemed like it would be relatively helpful for defence, but it still didn't help Cyrax out at all in terms of attack.

He began to wonder about where he would put his weapons, as he assumed he would have quite a lot eventually, and while thinking of this, his shield disappeared into an invisible space, and when he thought of bringing it back, the shield appeared in his hand.

He continued walking, albeit a little bit more careful than before, but after about ten minutes with no more enemies appearing, Cyrax was stood outside of the gates to the city.
