To see her after a such a long time made me have flashbacks to the days that I spent struggling and powerlessly, up until that one day that I was set free from that cycle that followed me since the day I was born. One day during my usual trips to the forest to fetch firewood, I was attacked by three Ancient beasts. During those times, the beasts all seemed to be at the same level and it didn't matter whether they were small and the easiest kind to deal with or the absolute annihilators, we villagers would always just run away trying to hide from them and trying to survive. So here I was surrounded by these beasts scared and frightened. But I had decided that I will not run away, I will no longer be frightened, no longer be afraid, today is the day that everything changes, This is my ADVENTURE!! "That's the spirit kid, but I'm afraid that these beasts are not the kind you can deal with yet. Yet.." said a mysterious voice. "Who said that?" I asked alarmingly and that's when a shadow flew across me and destroyed the beasts straight into oblivion.
"Hey kid, Are you alright?" the mysterious voice asked. It was a woman's voice I could tell. "I..I'm Fine," I said somehow managing to put words together but hey, you couldn't blame me. Here I thought I was about to die and then suddenly all of this happens. "You've got guts kid, trying to take on three Ancient beasts all by yourself. Well, its because you are a kid that I came to help you at all because there is no one dumb enough other than a kid to think that he could defeat three beasts." Somehow there was a huge smile on her face. "Stop crying now will you," she said. Wiping the tears rolling down my cheeks as I tried to stop crying. This was my very first adventure.
It took me a while to calm down and after I did, I asked her,"Who are You?" "I am just an Adventurer who roams through lands, living every day to the fullest and most important of all, Free." After that, all she said went over my head as I started thinking what an amazing person she was and how much I would love to become like her. There was a certain kind of shine in my eyes. Those were no longer the eyes of a normal kid, those were the eyes of someone who was ready to become an Adventurer and be ready to venture out into the world. "No, No, No, I know that look in your eyes, those are the eyes of a person is about to do something extremely stupid," she said. "Well after today I know how my capabilities, my strengths and the other stuff," I replied. "I'm pretty sure you don't," she countered. "Well, there is no one in the village who would teach me or help me become stronger so the only thing that seems logical is to go an adventure all by myself, Unless..." I said looking at her. "Kid, I just met you. You don't even know who I am and I don't know who you are, I am not training you," she replied. "Well, I did ask you who you were," I answered. "I just told you exactly who I am, Oh right you were busy daydreaming and thinking about something extremely dumb. Well allow me to reintroduce myself, My name is Orpheus."
We started heading towards the village as it would seem that she had some work there anyway. So as we arrived in the village, I guided her around the village and finally, we arrived at my house. I told my parents what had happened in the forest and how Orpheus had saved me from the beasts and everything. Well at first, both of them hugged extremely tight and then immediately yelled at me for not running away and so on. After they were done yelling at me, both of them turned towards Orpheus and thanked her for saving my life. Then my mom asked Orpheus whether she would like to have lunch with us and with me insisting as well, she had no choice. After the meal, I was sent to my room as Orpheus wanted to have a word with my parents. "I wonder what they are talking about," I kept asking myself. After a while, Orpheus came to my room and sat beside me. I asked her what she and my parents were talking about to which replied by saying that it was about monster occurrences and other stuff. Then she asked me about the village and how everyone was. I told her that even though it was a small village everyone was hardworking and happy. "What a beautiful place this is," she smiled and said. We further chatted about where she came from and all about her journey, where she had been, what she had seen, everything. By the time we stopped talking it was already night time. "It has been a really long time since I got to talk to someone so interesting," she said. Even I had an amazing time talking to her, knowing what was happening beyond the walls of the villages and everything else. As she was leaving, she turned towards me and said,"I finally know why I was sent here. Tomorrow morning, do not be late. I will meet you by the river. That is when your training begins." "Yes Master," I replied sternly. "That's how I met her Regallan, my saviour and my teacher Orpheus."
After explaining this story to Regallan he seemed quite impressed by Master Orpheus and then he started laughing. I could sense that he was controlling it since the start and finally it was out of his control. "Oh, You have no idea how much I would have loved seeing cry master," Regallan said laughing. "Oh, you won't believe how much he cried during his training," master Orpheus replied. Regallan was in complete shock as no one could hear our conversations unless I made it so, but given the moment, I think there was no need for hiding it. *Whoosh* suddenly out of nowhere master Orpheus came at me with what was almost an all-out attack, but I easily managed to block it. "It would seem that the rumours are true, isn't that right UniBlade? or should I say Blake Vinzan."
