The Second Shop

"The kids will be turning 6 in three days. I am so excited!" Adam turned to her in surprise.

"Just three days?"

Was she serious? He had to teach her that recipe in three days? And this too with Ai having a tight schedule, this plan may crash before it even begins.

"Well… I took a few days off by asking President Satou. So we have the next three days, it should be enough, right?" Ai did not doubt her ability to learn the recipe.

After all, Adam was the one teaching. Nothing could wrong, and if it did there was always a way to fix it, but she'd rather not use it for this objective.

"Well, three days can be enough depending on how we use it," He was already preparing the schedule in his head, getting a list of everything they would need to make this possible, but there was another thing to take into consideration.

"I can't be out when the kids are at home, it would be suspicious and I don't want it spoil the surprise." This was a big deal for her, as this was one of the few breaks she had since the start of her career. So, she also wanted to spend some more time with Aqua and Ruby at home.

"I suppose you are right." Adam decided to reschedule at lightning speed with Ai smiling on. It felt nice that he didn't try to push her or change her mind on this, he simply made it possible that everything worked.

'He does that every time, doesn't he?' Ai knew that there was no better to ask for help than him, with a contract or without one he would always do his best for her.

"Then I'll go and secure a place for you to practice. What time do the kids come home usually?" He asked.

"They should be back by 4," Even if Ai was not at home to greet them, she memorized their school schedules and when they came home with Miyako's help.

"We'll start tomorrow then," Adam said.

Even if it was just early afternoon, starting today will not be possible even if he gets everything else in order. That was unless he took some drastic measures, which he wouldn't for very obvious reasons. Entering the world he did not go and disturb the Administrator since he was allowed to directly go through, and knowing that kid it was better to not go too far. That is why he decided to hold it off until the end.

"Oh ok," Ai was a little surprised when he exited her room and went for the main door, wasn't he leaving too soon? What was the hurry? She quickly caught up to him, and right before he exited the house Ai spoke up.

"Come back for dinner, I'll cook you some tasty as a thank you." Currently, she couldn't think of a better way than this.

"I'll look forward to it then," He smiled and left.

Watching the closed door Ai had a similar smile herself, it was a good day and it would only get better. She can learn how to make a cake for her kids, and Adam was here. There wasn't anything more she could ask for, as the rest would depend on her efforts.

"I'll show him how much I improved since last time." Going straight to the kitchen Ai wore her pink bunny apron after tying her hair in a loose ponytail.

Then the preparations for the feast started in full swing. When Aqua and Ruby returned home, they had a sense of Déjà vu, when was the last time they saw her spend that much time in the kitchen? It was only one time, and that day was rather memorable for various reasons.

'Adam is coming over? Then that means there will be more cake? Or am I being rude to say that he should only come over when he has cake?' Aqua was sent into a dilemma for no reason as Ruby left him to his brooding in the living room.

"Mama~!" She was too busy fawning over Ai with her group's song blasting in the background.

Akasaka, Tokyo.

In an area not too far away from Ai's house, Adam was currently helping an unpopular café move out of their current location. Why was he doing that? Well, that was because he had now rented the place, and if he left it up to the owner to do this the twin's birthday would pass before Ai even gets to step into this place.

Thus, a harmless suggestion spell was used to make the process easier and faster. Renting the Café, getting the previous shop relocated to a good area with top-notch delivery service(himself), and then revamping the place so it can be used the very next day. In a world where he shouldn't use too much mana, all of this had to be done before 7 p.m.

The whole process went a lot smoother than one would expect, he contacted the owner of the place in 5 minutes after finding the location, got the previous business out within two hours, and then rebuilt the place in three hours.

Even if he could've taken his time, Adam decided to finish setting up the second shop of the Multi-universal café/restaurant/bakery Heavenly in a record time of 5 hours!

Leaning against the counter Adam was in deep thought. He planned to visit Ai for dinner, but should he take something with him? By now it had become a habit of sorts, and it wasn't a bad feeling to see them happily eat it so he probably wouldn't be breaking the chain anytime soon.

But he couldn't take the normal cakes with him, Ai would be making them for the kids in three days so it would be better if they get no cakes to compare in the meantime. Although that didn't help narrow down his options, instead there were tons and that was the problem.

'Maybe I should just choose something sweet randomly,' Ai was making the food so that was sorted, so he just had to take something that would be a good dessert. 

With the plan in motion he was done in no time and he got to test the equipment too, though the journey to Ai's house was even shorter. The door opened still sporting the cute apron.

"Welcome back mister!" She laid down a pair of slippers for him with a beaming smile, his arrival was also guessed by the two kids who peeked from the living room.

They were happy to see him but the box in his hand truly held their intrigue, it was wide like a cake box but the height was too short even for an assortment of pastries. It appeared that their dear uncle really brought in a mystery box today that they couldn't wait to open. In the end, there was no need to worry as looking at the white box that had no branding, the taste would be guaranteed as it was handmade.

"How long will you stand at the gate? Come in!" Ai nearly pulled Adam inside the house. Her energy levels weren't going to lessen anytime soon, as they still hadn't with her working for the entire day.

"It is good that she is active," He sat down on the sofa as the box was taken to the kitchen by Ai, she worked even faster now that he was here as if she was waiting for his arrival.

"Mama is always active, no one can ever match up to her," Ruby said and Aqua nodded, they never understood how her dainty body could be so active, especially with her diet. But the source of it was obvious this time.

'I can't wait to hear what he says about it,'
