At Peace

It was now the fifth day of training.

"This is too tough," Rias groaned as she had once again failed to reach level 10, Asia was already moved to a different training even if she never passed level 10.

'Why is he giving me such a hard time then?' Rias pouted since Adam said that Asia needed to train her healing power and the Magic Control training wasn't that important for her.

But it was a different case for Rias it seemed, or at least that's what Adam thought.

So, Rias didn't like that she was the only one who was stuck in this training now.

'What is wrong? Am I that weak that he is making me do this? If so, then will I be able to do what I want?' The more Rias thought the cloudier her mood became, she was getting irritated again and just wanted to drive all these negative thoughts away.

But then she suddenly had an idea and she went straight to Adam who was sitting down on a chair reading a cookbook.

"What happened Rias?" He asked taking his eyes off the book, but Rias didn't answer instead she turned around and sat down in his lap.

"Rias what are you doing?" To say that Adam was shocked was an understatement.

This was just too sudden and he couldn't make sense of what her intentions were.

'Yeah, this is it,' Rias thought but she knew that something very important was missing.

"Hold me," Rias said leaning back on Adam's chest.

"What?" Adam couldn't make sense of anything.

"I am asking you to hug me like you do every night," Rias said with a smile as she looked at the troubled look on Adam's face.

"But we're outside," Adam's heads were aching now.

"I don't care," Rias held Adam's arm and wrapped it around her own waist.

'Why are all of the women I meet like this?' Adam didn't know why but he had only met women that were really lacking in the 'embarrassment' department.

They were just, how should one put it …they were too open about everything.

"Adam," Rias called out and Adam nodded.

'If you don't care I won't as well,' Adam thought and hugged Rias tightly.

"Is this alright," Adam asked and Rias just kissed his cheek by turning her head to show her affirmation.

'I feel at peace now,' All of the negative thoughts that were clouding Rias's mind were blown away in less than a minute.

And then she used the Magic control device once again.

And 15 minutes later…

"Adam I passed level 13," Rias smiled while showing Adam the device.

"Great, I'll take you to the place where you'll train next," Adam smiled looking at the small screen on the device's corner that flashed the highest level the user had reached.

"Can you wait a little longer?" Rias asked while leaning back on Adam so that she can stop him from standing up and he sighed, she spent the next hour in the same position before Adam just carried her into the barrier she was supposed to train in.

Rias's training was very simple, she needed to refine her control over the Power Of Destruction by molding it in various shapes and forms while gradually increasing the intensity.

Then came the single target practice where she needed to hit and disintegrate targets that were varying in size and materials.

After this, she practiced with multiple moving targets as well.

"Focus on precision first," Adam was helping Rias to make sure she can land an attack even if it was weak, since no matter how strong an attack is if it misses it is useless, unless that is what one is aiming for.

Today was the last day of training and the rating game would happen tomorrow.

Everyone was in their room waiting for the next day, some with enthusiasm and some with fear.

And Rias was currently in Adam's room sitting in his lap reading through some strategy books.

Rias was also nervous but sitting in Adam's lap and having his arms wrapped around her calmed her down a lot.

It has become her favorite place as of late, if she could have her way she would never take her butt off Adam's lap and do everything there. Even though she was spending most of her time there.

"The day is upon us," Rias muttered since her entire future would be at stake tomorrow.

"Adam hug me tighter," Rias said as she felt Adam's arm loosening around her waist, but even after that he didn't do that so she turned her head to look at him and…

"Did he fall asleep?" Rias tilted her head as she saw Adam leaning back on the sofa, but then she looked at the clock and saw that it was 4 in the morning.

'Did I lose track of time?' Rias normally went to bed at 11 A.M but today she was reading more than usual in order to calm her nerves.

'He must've not wanted to bother me since I was nervous,' Rias turned on Adam's lap sitting on it sideways so she could take a better look at his sleeping face, this was the first time she had seen him actually sleeping since he always wakes up earlier than her.

"You should've told me if you were sleepy, dummy," Rias smiled gently as she thought about it while caressing Adam's face slowly.

But she was wrong, Adam didn't fall asleep because he was sleepy.

He wouldn't have any problem even if he went without sleep for a long time, the reason he fell asleep was because, just like Rias he felt very comfortable in this position.

He had spent eight thousand years in the world he was summoned. If one counts the number of days he had slept there, it won't cross a thousand.

The reason for that was his frustration and anger which grew with each passing day he was stuck in that place. His irritation and loneliness made it almost impossible for him to have a comfortable sleep even if he had the world's comfiest bed.

The only way for him to sleep at the time was through a sleeping spell that would only work after he was fully exhausted.

But now, he felt calm, out of that world, and holding a beautiful woman like Rias in his arms so closely, all of his frustrations and anger had left him, her gentle warmth was melting them away.

Even if he had no idea about it himself, once again after a long time he was actually able to sleep peacefully during the night.

So, in a way, Rias helped Adam as much as he had helped her.

But Rias didn't only calm Adam down…

Rias looked at the bulge on Adam's pants, she had felt it poking her butt every time she sit down in his lap and it just made her happier every time because…

"Just wait a little longer for me, Please just a little longer," Rias said while lightly placing a kiss on Adam's lips before laying her head on his shoulder and falling asleep.

It was the first time today that sleeping while wearing clothes didn't bother her at all.

But Rias was also unaware of the two people who had been watching everything that happened in that room.

The Next morning…

Rias came out of Adam's room while yawning and that is when she saw two people standing outside as if they were waiting for her.

"Did you have a nice sleep President?" Akeno asked with a giggle and Rias nodded with a satisfied smile.

"Anyway, Grayfia what happened?" Rias looked at the maid who was looking at her, or more specifically the room behind her.

"I have come to inform you about the Rating Game My Lady," Grayfia had a lot to say but she held her tongue and got straight to the point.

Today's Rating game was very important for all parties included, so there was no need to complicate matters for now.

"I see, let's go to the meeting room," Rias said and the three went into a meeting room to talk about the game that would be held tonight.

Koneko, Issei, and Yuuto were doing their daily training even though today they were supposed to relax a little so that they don't get exhausted.

But because they were so excited about the event they couldn't sit still, Asia was watching them train and healed them whenever one of them got injured, but she was the one who was the more nervous.

In this house tension was unusually high today.

Then the evening came and it was time for everyone to go to the place where the rating game was going to happen.

At least that was the plan…

"Adam you are not coming to watch the game?" Rias asked in shock as Adam told her that he won't be coming along.
