Chapter Five

I handed Mum the Money when we came home, "That the money the shirt seller owes you"  "you shouldn't have stress your self Rebecca, I would have gotten it by myself "it no problem Mum, I wanted to do it,I said drinking a glass of cold water from the fridge, Mum stare at me with her hand on her waist "you went to cause trouble right"  "no I didn't  I tried defending myself, "oh Aunt Rebecca acted like a hero today" Emily said Really" mum replied still staring at me, "what! I asked, i just gave him what he deserves, he shouldn't have acted like that, he is such a stupid man "Rebecca!! Dad called coming in through the front door, I know he have heard what happened at the market, what happened today, he asked frowning at me,  It all....., he cut me short, The news of what you did is all over the place, market, street and.... he stop in anger, mum brought him water to drink, I really hate it when Dad is angry with me, "he really deserves whatever I have done to him today even though we can't afford to buy expensive stuff, every one should be given a respect they deservey" I said he looked at me sternly before walking to his room, he shouldn't be angry on me I thought in anger before walking up to my room.

I dressed in jeans and black top the next evening, yeah I was finally going to dinner with the mysterious Sam "Don't tell me you're wearing that"Emily asked frowning at me 'Of course what wrong with it"  I turned from the mirror letting her take a full view of me, "you look like you're going to the farm"  "I don't think their is anything wrong with my dress, it just a simple outfit" " you look so boring in that, you should have allowed me to dress you up"she persisted, "No I backed away from her, I love my outfit, now you help me keep up with the lie, so....am going to meet Nancy, I have a very urgent project to sort out with her" I spoke looking at her for any reaction but none came, "Oh!! God.. I exclaimed sitting back on the bed, you know how I hate lying to Mum or anyone of them, Emily move close to me drawing me up 'hey sis out of your zone now, don't whine like a child, you have to get going before they comes back. you know what that means right.... a lot of question, I stood up hugging and pecking her goodbye. I walked to where Sam would pick me up, I hope no one sees me, Sam was already waiting for me "hi I greeted when I sat down beside him on his car, "hi, you look great"  " Really, I asked surprised " yeah, I started to laugh "you know you don't have to be nice and all that, because my dearest sister said I look boring in this dress" I said smiling, " Oh! he nod, really she said that" I nodded,  "I see but to me you look great"  "OK thanks"  your welcome" he replied with a smile that makes me want to reach out to him, " so where are you taking me to" I asked focusing on the road, "it a surprise, he wink at me.
