It seems Jane realized that what she said was wrong. It made Henry very curious.
"Tell me, Jane? Who gave you this task, all this time, I've been wondering how you and Nicole got to meet each other?"
"Henry, let go of my hand. You misinterpreted what I just said. No one gave me any assignments," Jane replied lying. But Henry didn't believe it, and he pulled Jane's body closer to him.
"You'd better say it. I've been suspecting something. Someone's using you to bring me and Nicole down," said Henry who spoke close to Jane's face.
"How can you think like that, Henry?" Jane asked, and she read Henry's mind was so complicated she couldn't understand.
"Now think about it, Jane! Why would anyone give you an assignment? Approaching me and Nicole too, so that we are in a disadvantageous situation? This is not a coincidence. Do you understand what I mean now?" Henry asked.
