Marco-Polo

The alarm's blaring sound woke me up, it was a little unnecessary considering I was already up ten minutes before it. I groan slamming my hand on the old alarm clock shutting it up until twenty hours from now. With a sigh, I rolled out of the bed and headed to the bathroom as I was getting ready for the day. I remember the concert that was supposed to happen today and my spirits rose as much as my tired body would allow. As I was brushing my teeth my hand twitched to the left a little but I paid it no concern as I continued my business in the bathroom. Once I was finished, I made my way to my room to get dressed as I was getting my shirt on my whole body twitched as if I was startled by something. I had a little more concern this time but didn't look into it as I grabbed a pair of jeans and walked to my bed just to blackout.

THIRD PERSON P.O.V

Another alarm sounds in the room next to Stacy's after it silenced the mother called her name but no sounds came from her room signaling her daughter coming out. With a sigh she called her daughter's name this time while getting up, she could've sworn she heard her daughter getting ready. When no answer came after she woke up some more the mother opened the door to see the light on but gasped to see where Stacy was. There, her daughter layed passed out in a curled ball with a pair of jeans on the floor by her head. The mother called for her husband to get ready as she approached her daughter's unconscious body trying to wake her up. With a touch of the mother's hand, Stacy woke up delirious asking to be woken up later since there wasn't any school that day.

That was last week, her mother recalled as she called for her husband once more as she attempted to wake up her teenage daughter hoping it was some sort of sick prank. Soon her daughter pushed herself up as the mother walked her into the living room ordering the delirious Stacy to get her shoes on while she still had her pajama pants on. Once everyone was ready to leave they rushed to the hospital as the mother had called the school and her husband rattled off basic math problems to keep Stacy in the present. Once they made it to the hospital tests were done immediately and once they were finished the doctor came to report that Stacy had her first seizure in years.

A WEEK LATER

STACY'S P.O.V

The steady beeping sound from my tablet as I turned on my side with a groan slamming my hand on the device silencing it. I then rested flat on my back as I heard my mother's alarm go off

"Marco," her voice said right as she silenced it and I shuffled out into the hall

"Polo," I grumbled as I made it into the bathroom, this had started without my agreement after my mother had found me passed out from my seizure. It was her way of checking that I was still conscious by the time both her and my stepfather woke up

"Marco," my mother repeated as I opened the bathroom door to head to my room

"Polo," I replied as I entered my room to get changed, after I got changed I walked into the kitchen to get breakfast. As I was putting my pop-tarts in the toaster I heard my stepfather's alarm go off but I didn't hear the usual sounds of my parents coming down the hallway to check on me. "Marco," I asked with a little concern

THIRD PERSON P.O.V

Stacy left the kitchen creeping down the hallway after she didn't get an answer from her parents, she was preparing herself for an early morning scare but not for what she saw once she stepped into their room.

Two dark shadows were bent over the mauled bodies of her parents, her mother's head clean off its shoulders while her stepfather's face was gone as if something exploded in front of it. Stacy stood there stunned, she took a step back but ran into the door causing a noise to sound throughout the apartment. The monsters jerked their heads in the direction of the sound, their mouths dripping with blood as their blood-red eyes showed with enjoyment as they leaped toward her.

Stacy only had enough time to scream once one of the monsters reached her throat, ripping her vocal cords out with a snarl that resembled a chuckle. Right as Stacy's soul left her body her pop tarts popped out of there toaster the warm food staying there as the monster enjoyed its third course

"Polo," the monster finally answered as it started eating at the corpse of a sixteen-year-old girl whose face was frozen in a scream that no one heard.
