Ch-6 : LETTING DOWN....

Allen reassured Luna that Amy was safe, but she could hear the worry in his voice. Luna's heart raced as she asked for more details.

"Aunt Luna, I found her, but she got hurt..." Allen paused, trying to choose his words carefully.

Luna's concern deepened. "But? What happened? Where are you now?"

"We're at our house, and Amy is resting in the guest room. She's okay, but I wanted to let you know."

Luna sighed with relief but couldn't help feeling a surge of protective worry for her daughter. "I'll be there soon. Please keep an eye on her until then."

"I will, Aunt Luna," Allen replied, knowing he had to stay by Amy's side.

Allen felt a sense of guilt for not being able to prevent Amy's injury. He knew he had done his best, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he should have been more vigilant.

Soon, Amy's parents arrived at Allen's home, their worry evident in their faces. Luna embraced Allen gratefully before hurrying to the guest room where Amy lay resting. Seeing her daughter in pain brought a pang of sadness to Luna's heart.

Allen stepped outside to give the family some privacy and joined Leo, Amy's father. Luna gently tried to rouse Amy, her voice filled with concern.

Amy slowly opened her eyes, struggling to focus on her mother's face. Despite her injuries and exhaustion, Amy managed a weak smile. "Don't cry, Mom. I'll be alright," she reassured her mother softly.

Luna's heart ached seeing Amy in this state, but she kept her composure for her daughter's sake. They decided to let Amy rest at Allen's house for the night, knowing she needed time to heal.

When Luna emerged from the guest room, Allen was there waiting for her, his expression filled with remorse.

"Aunt Luna, I'm so sorry I couldn't protect her better. I feel like I let you down."

Luna placed a comforting hand on Allen's shoulder. "You did everything you could, Allen. We're grateful you were there to help Amy when she needed it. Thank you for taking care of her."
