Upon Sumaira's arrival, her eyes and face displayed a crimson hue due to her overwhelming anger. Suddenly, a resounding voice reached my ears, enlightening me to the fact that Sumaira had just slapped me in front of the entire class. Witnessing this, Ayesha promptly struck Sumaira back, exclaiming with fury,
"Who do you think you are? Do you understand the gravity of your actions?"
At that moment, Ayesha answered with a booming voice,
"I neither know nor desire to know. All I know is that she is my friend, and nobody has the right to lay a hand on or harm my friend."
Ayesha then firmly grasped my hand, pulling me away from the surrounding crowd. As we walked, the sound of applause filled my ears, as the entire class clapped in admiration of Ayesha's actions. Tears cascaded down my face, and I trembled from the pain coursing through me internally. Confused about the whereabouts of my own parents, I posed another question, to which Ayesha reassuringly replied,
"Do not fret. I will contact them and inform them of the situation."
Continuing her train of thought, she added,
"Now, go and freshen up with a bath while I prepare lunch for the both of us."
As I entered the bathroom, an overwhelming feeling of sickness washed over me, causing me to vomit and tremble uncontrollably. In the midst of my distress, Ayesha appeared by my side, offering her support as she gently rubbed my back. Gradually, my vomiting ceased, but tears streamed down my face. Suddenly, a sudden dizziness engulfed me, causing me to collapse onto the floor. As I began to lose consciousness, I faintly heard the doctors questioning Ayesha about the events that had transpired. With each passing moment, my eyes slowly shut, plunging me into darkness.
Upon awakening, I found myself confined to a hospital bed, surrounded by my parents on one side while Ayesha occupied the other. Their concerned expressions conveyed their distress over the incident that had occurred at school. As soon as I regained consciousness, my parents posed a critical inquiry:
"Should we consider transferring you to a different educational institution?"
My response was succinct yet thoughtful: "I require some time for contemplation."
With that, my parents and Ayesha bid their farewell, leaving me to be joined by Ahmed...
