Chapter 2-Kasey

I woke up with an excruciating headache, the sun shining on my face not helping one bit either. I turned around to cover my face but my head landed on something hard. I blinked several times, allowing my eyes to adjust to the bright light before I fully opened them.

A woman. I bumped my head on a woman's shoulder. And damn, it hurt. It was slowly registering that she was naked in my bed with her long brunette hair all over my pillow. Naked! Did we have sex? I did the dumbest thing a person could ever possibly do after a one night stand. Instead of taking the opportunity of running away, since I couldn't because it was clearly my bed so we were in my apartment, I tapped on her shoulder a couple of times.

The shoulder I bumped my head on. The very one that made my headache much worse. She stirred before she stilled resuming her sleep. "Hey. " I whispered as I trapped her shoulder a bit harder. "Sophie get the fuck out of my apartment. It's too early for this." She said in her sleep, before turning over and sleeping once more.

"Hey!" I raised my voice a bit as I began full on hitting her side. "What?" She half screamed as she finally sat up. She turned to me and looked at me, probably half asleep but when she saw my very naked self and her eyes widened. "Who the fuck are you?" She asked before looking around my room. "Where the fuck am I?" She asked again before she finally settled her eyes on me.

I wasn't liking the situation I was in but damn, what a woman. At least my one night stand is gorgeous so I might not regret it that much. "Hey, I'm Kasey. You're in my apartment. Can you please stop screaming?" I said as I stood up, dropping the sheets and walked to my closet to retrieve two robes. I put one around my naked body and handed her the other one.

She accepted it but still eyed me skeptically. "I don't know about you but I have a splitting headache and I swear I'm half drunk. I want some breakfast. Care to join?" I asked. "Uhm, yeah sure." She replied, putting the robe around her shoulders and standing up to tie it.

She followed me out of the room to the kitchen. "Nice apartment." She said looking around. "Thank you. You still haven't told me your name." I pointed out as I got to making the breakfast. "How do I know if I can trust you with it?" She asked. "We shared a bed. Naked. It can't get any worse." I informed and she shrugged, pursing her lips. "I suppose you're correct. My name is Alex. Can I help you with breakfast?" She asked and I nodded to the coffee machine.

"I think I remember bits and pieces from yesterday." I told her and she looked up at me while her hands still worked the machine. "I remember meeting you in the bathroom at Club Emerald right after your screamed you hated being born with a uterus. " I told her and she smiled a bit. "Of course that's what you'd remember and not the important stuff like how we got here." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"We need to take it slow if we want to get that far ahead into the night." I told her. "How do you know whether or not a lot happened after the bathroom incident?" She asked and I shrugged. "What do you think happened? We met in the bathroom and we ran straight here?" I asked and she tilted her head at me. "I suppose you're right." She said as the machine started brewing.

She ran her hand through her hair and leaned against the counter. "Was that ring always there?" I asked her noticing the ring on her finger. "What ring?" She asked, inspecting both her hands before her eyes widened as she looked at me. "That ring. Are you married?" I asked her. "Because I'd feel bad if you're married. I mean we shared a night toge-" I started and she cut me off. "I'm not married! I don't know where this came from. I don't own this." She exclaimed as she tried to remove it from her finger.

"Okay calm down. We can figure this out." I said waking towards her and helping her pull it off. I placed it on the counter and she rubbed on her finger. "We need to check our phones. Maybe that'll help." She suggested. "Good idea. We just need to find our phones first." I said and I noticed she was biting at her lower lip. "We can check your room first." She said pointing towards the hallway.

We both began the search as soon as we got to my room. "Found your bag." I said lifing it up from under the bed. "Your phone is charging." She said pointing behind me and so it was. She accepted her bag, digging through it while I unlocked my phone. First thing that shocked me was the new wallpaper. It was of me and Alex pouting and doing the peace sign. Okay???

I proceeded to open my messages since there were so many notifications. "Shut the fucking front door." She exclaimed and I looked up to her. "What?" I asked but she carried on scrolling through her phone each time her expression changing. First message I checked was from my family's jeweler. A thank you for shopping with them for a ring that cost six... the fuck! Six thousand dollars. No fucking way!

After that the messages just kept getting worse. A doctors confirmation? Did one of us get sick? And a freaking marriage certificate. Between Kasey King and Alexis Reid. "We are married!" Both of us said at the same time. "Oh my God." She said as she sat down on my bed. "You need to leave." I told her. I was fucking freaking out.

"What?" She asked turning to me. "Leave." I said way harsher than I intended. "Trust me, I don't want to be here either but we need to sort this out." She said and it did make sense but if my family found out about this, I was as good as dead. "You need to leave Alexis." I told her. "I'm not leaving until-" She started. "Fucking leave!" I cut her off, exclaiming and she flinched, her eyes becoming softer before they hardened again.

"Okay fine. Fuck you by the way." She said as she grabbed her clothes changing, not looking at me at all until she finished. She grabbed everything of hers and left. Not a single word said before that. Fuck my life!
