Hades held on firmly to the stirring wheel as he tried to push air into his lungs. The words that had left Persephone's mouth shocked him, so much so that he had almost lost control of the car.
He turned to look at the goddess who was also looking at him in concern. "I'm sorry about that, are you alright?" He asked while his eyes frantically scanned her to make sure she was unharmed.
"I'm alright," Persephone responded. "What happened, was there something on the road?"
"Yes, something on the road," Hades lied, "one of these wild creators of the underworld."
"Oh I see," the goddess responded while readjusting her seat belt. Thank goddess Hades made it a habit to put her seatbelt on, otherwise she would have gone flying through the windshield. "For a moment I thought you were startled by what I said."
