Feeding a Picky Eater

To explain what Eva chasing Toby looked like, I'd say to imagine a cat chasing a dog. By time Eva stopped chasing Toby, the two ended up in town square. Not long after, Toby found a market adjacent to them, one of the stalls inside this market sold seeds. Eva was preparing to go to said stall. 

"Okay, give me the money and-" Before Eva could finish, Toby was already walking towards the stall with the $20 (USD). 

Toby put on his best poker face and placed $2 onto the stand. He was trying to persuade the worker at the stall for a smaller price. The price of a bag of seeds was $5, but this slick little boy only got it for $2. He somehow got a forty percent discount. Eva was surprised by his stunt. In the end, Toby was able to retrieve the seeds.

After this affair the two kids went back to the alleyway, Toby was happy because the parrot wouldn't be hungry or die since they got the required food. Eva on the other hand was thinking of ways to get the bird to eat, these ways included stuffing the seeds down its throat, etc. 

When they returned to the alleyway, Toby placed some seeds onto the floor. He did this because neither of them knew the appropriate way to feed a parrot. The parrot looked at the seeds on the floor and squawked. This squawk was not as exaggerated as the previous ones. The parrot then turned around, showing no interest in the seeds. 

"This stupid bird!" Eva said angrily. 

"You're obviously hungry, eat. You're not in a place to be picky."

Toby didn't interject because he knew that his attempts would be futile. He silently watched Eva scream at the bird for five minutes. Then suddenly, Eva came to Toby with a plan. Since the stubborn parrot wouldn't eat, Eva came up with a strategy to feed it. After hearing this plan, Toby was hesitant, it was quite un-nerving, but nevertheless he would eventually accede. 

Operation: force feed parrot is a go. Because of this malnourished bird's decisions, drastic measures had to be taken. The two silently approached the oblivious bird then, SCREECH! Toby pounced onto the parrot, in other words a hug attack. He held the parrot in his arms restricting its movement and holding it in place. Eva grabbed some seeds and pushed them into the bird's mouth. After the bird swallowed, they let the bird go and it silently waddled towards the wall. 

Even though this was an extreme violation of the bird's personal space, they didn't care. The parrot was fed, and I personally doubt that eight and seven-year-olds would understand the concept of personal space.
