Chapter 27

Wayne didn’t answer right away, scrolling through the realtor’s photos of the exteriors of both houses, instead. Finally, he nodded. “I can—using visual and motion sensors, the way it was at our old house. I like the fact it’s isolated from any neighbors, reducing the chances someone will wander into or through the yard and set them off.”

“The only real problem I see with it, security-wise, is defending from someone using the trees at the edge of the yard to hide them, while they take potshots at us,” Lou said.

“Photobeam detectors set up in the trees should solve that problem.”

Rae lifted an eyebrow. “Should?”

“Will,” Wayne amended. “I can get them delivered from my usual supplier as soon as the sale is final.” He looked at Lou and Rae. “What other problems do you see?”

“Right now, none,” Lou replied. “But I want to take another look at it, without the realtor around, before we make a final decision.”
