Chapter 46
Sansa's pov
I was looking at Maya. overlooking the large gathering. The Oak Pack, Mountain Guards, and Hina, who was now a few steps behind me, were all there. I could feel their gaze on Hina, all eyes fixed on me as if I were a statue to be gazed at.
"Maya from the Mountain!" I yelled, my voice clear and loud.
"Why do you seek to take Hina away from me?"
Maya, a tall and imposing figure, took a step forward. "Hina is a Mountain Pack member; she belongs with us," Maya stated emphatically.
My medium-brown hair cascaded down my back as I shook my head. "Hina is not a hostage here; I allowed her to stay."
"You don't realize how dangerous this can be for her," Maya explained.
"What is the danger?" I inquired.
"A young bride cannot stay here rather than on a mountain until she reaches a certain age. It is risky for her to stay every second."
"I would not allow you to take her up there against her will," I said.
