Chapter 20: A New home

Selena with a mixture of surprise and curiosity, accepted his unspoken invitation. She settled into the comfortable leather seat, still processing the unexpected turn of events. Jorge exuding an air of quiet confidence, joined her in the driver's seat, the engine purring to life as he pulled away from her house.

During the drive, the atmosphere in the car exuded a comfortable silence as neither of them spoke a word. Selena immersed herself to looking through the window, observing the surroundings and each turns they made before getting to their destination.

Getting to a big white gate, Selena saw the gate open wide and Jorge glided his car through the stately entrance gate to the mansion, the path ahead lined with anticipation and grandeur.

As they passed through the gate, a private road unfurled before them, winding its way through the meticulously crafted landscape of Kelvin's lavish abode.

To the left of the road, a grand statue of a white wolf stood in silent vigil, a symbol of power and strength and Selena released a 'wow' sound in a whisper. She was in awe at the sight, it was something she had never seen before.

On the right, a second statue gracefully released water from its mouth, adding an air of elegance to the scene. But what truly caught her eyes was the enchanting beauty that surrounded them. 

The sides of the road were a riot of colors, adorned with a breathtaking variety of ornamental flowers, each blooming in testament to the gardener's artistry. Their fragrance wafted through the air, creating an enchanting olfactory symphony.

Amidst this floral paradise, elegant flamingos and ravishing peacocks moved about gracefully, as if nature itself had taken up residence on these hallowed grounds. Selena could not help but be taken aback by the sheer splendor of it all. Her eyes widened in astonishment as she took in the breathtaking vista that stretched before her.

Jorge saw her expression and smiled, "I can see you're a fan of nature?" He said and Selena turned her head towards him.

"Yes." Looking outside the window again, "This is really beautiful." She said with a grin on her face and he smiled.

Driving into the garage, he parked his car. "We're here, let's go in." Jorge said and got out of his car and Selena followed suit. 

Opening his back door, two men approached them. "Good morning Sir." They both chorused with a slight bow and turned to Selena. They were already aware of her coming, with a polite smile they greeted her too.

"Good morning." Selena replied them with a sweet smile.

"Take this in." Jorge said pointing to the luggage Inside his car. Turning to Selena, "Let's go in." He said and started walking towards the door with Selena by his side.

They both entered the expansive living room and Selena became dumbstruck. The marble wall was designed with different picture frames and a big chandelier decorated the ceiling.

"Good morning Mr Graham." Robert greeted as he stood at the side of the couch.

He noticed the woman with Jorge and gave Jorge a questioning look which he replied with a nod of confirmation. "Good morning miss. It's a pleasure to have you here." Robert said in pleasantry.

Selena was brought down from her ecstasy, composing her self, she gave him a sweet smile, "Thank you." was all she said.

"Selena," Jorge called her name. "I'll be going to the office now. Robert will attend to you, anything you need just ask him." Turning to Robert. "Kelvin won't be home till later at night so she's in your hands now." He said.

"Yes sir." Robert said and signaled to the the two men who just walked in with Selena's luggage.

"Thank you Mr Graham." Selena said with appreciation visible in her eyes.

"You know..., I think you should start calling me Jorge. Honestly, it kinda sound weird for you to call me by my last name." He said casually.

"But...," She wanted to speak but he cut her off.

"Even though we're in the office, still call me Jorge." He said and she could only nod. "Take care of yourself." He added and left.

"Can't Kelvin just be like this? Why is he always an aloof man?" She complained inwardly. Ever since she met Jorge and he interviewed her, he has always been the nice, jovial and calm man but it is an entirely different case when it comes to Kelvin.

Inside the M.W.C building, Kelvin sat down on his office sofa while sipping hot coffee from his mug. He heard his phone ring and picking the call immediately he saw the caller ID. 

"I'm on my way to the office." Jorge said immediately the call went through.

"What about Selena?" He heard Kelvin question and he replied, "Robert will attend to her."

"Good." Kelvin said and hung up but then he heard his door squealed open and Amelia entered.

She was donned in a regal orange business suit and her hair neatly styled into a bun. The little touch of orange lipstick added fitting perfection to her attire and she walked gracefully towards Kelvin with her black heels resonant sound filling the air 

"Good morning Kelvin." Amelia greeted casually.

Paying no mind to her, Kelvin only nodded and continued sipping his coffee. Acting like his action didn't affect her, Amelia sat down closer to him.

"How was your night?" She asked acting sweetly.

Ignoring her question, Kelvin spoke, "Why are you here?" 

"Won't you at least inquire about my night or answer my question first?" She pouted and he ignored her again.

"What's really wrong with you?" I'm here trying to get your attention but you're acting like I don't exist but yesterday you were smiling at a lowly class girl.' She complained in her head.

Amelia scanned Kelvin's face for some seconds looking for any hint of emotion but he gave away no clue. She closed her eyes and sighed in defeat.

"I came to tell you about the project. This is the refined plan." She handed it over to him which he collected and started flipping through the pages cautiously.

Kelvin rested his back on) the couch while going through the file carefully. During this time Amelia's eyes fell on his face as she observed him and his facial features. 

His perfectly pointed nose made him more alluring coupled with his facial hair that formed a teddy. His muscular jaw could draw anyone that set eyes on it towards him and his black eyes added more touch to his looks as they looked hypnotizing.

She gulped down her saliva as her eyes fell on his lips, even though they were dry she could not help but think about how it would feel if she kiss him and she smiled.

'What can I really do to have you as mine?' She asked herself. She just couldn't control the feelings she had for him and thinking about his smile towards Selena, her hatred increased.
