22. Guilty
D looked guilty because kids were right she already confessed to him and now even dragged him here.
She scolded kids ,"Hey hey hey , why are you badmouthing me ?" She looked at Shounak with flabbergasted expression on her face and with eyes saying sorry and then said to kids ,"This is not what you are thinking kids. I swear , I'm completely innocent. "
Kids scrutinized her expression and scoffed ," Why are you looking guilty then ? Are you sure you didn't do anything wrong ."
D,"Hey, I definitely didn't do anything wrong. You guys are accusing me now . Whose side are you on haa??"
Kids said in unison ,"Of course on big bro's , after all he is soooooo handsome and so good looking ."
One small boy among kids said ,"D , I'm on your side but you shouldn't cheat on me . It's bad you know it naa ?"
D ,"Hey Rey , you should believe in yourself more . How can I bear to cheat on you ! You are one and only for me dear ."
"For others , you are all suckers of good looks , humph.....I'm not talking to you ." D said while pouting.
Shounak couldn't control anymore and laughed out loud ,She looked soooo cute with that pout . His laughter was like cold wind blowing past your face in hot summer ,making you relax and content . That sound was so soothing to ear that ,D was momentarily lost . Kids brought her back with their chatter .
"Hey kids I have to go , it's dinner time . You should also eat dinner and sleep early . If you want something just tell Yash ,ohk ? He will bring it to you .Ohk kids , bye now . Muahhhh..... love you ." D while sending flying kiss to kids .
She hung up and turned to Shounak , "You look ok now , so , shall we go ?"
He nodded .
While returning to cafeteria he asked ,"So many kids ???"
She understood what he was asking so she told him ,"I grew up in the orphanage. They are all the kids from orphanage where I used to live .They are my family . Whenever I'm depressed or feel down , they lift my mood like magic . So , I thought they can lessen your worries as I don't know how to comfort someone ."
