-Prologue-

Puffs of misty condensation depart from my lungs, leaving behind a cool breeze on my pale lips. Similar fog continues around me, becoming denser by the minute. The outline of a duplex in the distance soon develops into finer detail of my home, light-blue walls accompanied with a few large windows covered by light grey curtains stopping light or any onlookers from seeing in.

Treading up the broken bricked path with overgrown vegetations surrounding the way towards the door way. The soft sound of my footsteps brings along a welcomed tranquil silence. Finally reaching the faded wooden door, I push my bandaged hand further into my hoodie pocket feeling the faint cold of metal. Taking out my keys by the key-chain with the tip of my fingers, I bring them to the lock along with a click. Pushing the old door aside with a long eerie creek, a darkness comforts me once again. Same old, Same old…

A gentle sigh escapes my cold lips as flip the switch, light envelops my home.
