The Area 5 in South Hill Base is further divided into several sectors or should I say, several maps.
These maps were crafted by the Professional Alliance using different Permanent Secret Realm Fragments.
When Dean McKenzie used his staff card to come in, he entered the Skeleton Cave map.
The Skeleton Cave is an upgrade map formed from the fragments of the Permanent Secret Realm Wraith Territory.
Within the cave, the active skeleton levels range from level 3 to 10.
The main active monsters are Pale Skeletons, Fragile Skeleton Warriors, and Fragile Skeleton Archers.
The entire cave is about 15 kilometers in diameter with three levels, where the skeletons are usually not above level 5 on the first level…"
As he stepped foot into the Skeleton Cave, Dean McKenzie was summoning Doggy Three while also going over the information about the cave he had collected over the past week in his head.
Well, at this moment, the Doggy Three summoned by Dean McKenzie was essentially not the original one.
But Dean McKenzie stubbornly named the newly summoned skeleton as Doggy Three.
It was as if he hadn't sacrificed Doggy Three as cannon fodder if he didn't change the name, as if Doggy Three hadn't died!
In the pitch-dark Skeleton Cave, the pair of Pupil Fires emanating from the summoned Doggy Three brought faint light, but it still couldn't give Dean McKenzie a sense of safety.
So, Dean McKenzie reached out and summoned Doggy Two as well.
All his 31 points of Mana were used up after summoning the two skeletons.
Dean McKenzie couldn't bear to use his Mana Potion. Thus, he sat cross-legged for over 20 minutes, and under the bonus of meditation along with the level 1 Mana Recovery, his Mana recovered to around 25. Only then did Dean McKenzie officially begin exploring the Skeleton Cave.
Throughout the exploration process, Dean McKenzie was tense, fearing a skeleton might suddenly jump out.
As a result, after walking for over half an hour, his Mana had fully recovered, but he hadn't encountered any skeletons.
However, his Doggy Three that was scouting for him almost got murdered by someone thinking it was a monster.
An arrow from somewhere pinned Doggy Three to the wall. Fortunately, Dean McKenzie reacted quickly and gave a shout, this allowing the third-generation Doggy Three to escape an early end.
"Sorry about that, I've been shooting at monsters in the Skeleton Cave for many days, now I can shoot without thinking when I see Pupil Fire, almost killed your helper undead!"
The perpetrator who almost killed Doggy Three was an adolescent carrying a longbow, around seventeen to eighteen years old.
The young fellow was quite honest and apologetic to Dean McKenzie while scratching his head.
Since the other fellow came up to apologize, Dean McKenzie naturally wouldn't hold a grudge: "No problem, after all, no one would think that there would be a pet skeleton in the Skeleton Cave!"
The two of them laughed at this, and all tension was eased and they instantly formed a bond.
Only at the expense of Doggy Three did the harmonious world once again stabilize.
Latterly, after briefly greeting each other, the older fellow, realizing that Dean McKenzie had just come into level his monsters immediately offered: "You just got here? There are many people in the Skeleton Cave, it's not easy finding a good leveling spot. I'm just heading out, I'll give you my leveling spot from the past few days.
That spot is pretty good, stable leveling, and nobody comes by.
Follow me!"
Then the honest youth took Dean McKenzie, spending over an hour's time to take Dean McKenzie to the second layer of the Skeleton Cave, and led him into a tunnel in the second layer.
"Here we are, this place.
This is where I've been leveling for the past few days. I'm telling you, if you follow this tunnel further in, it leads to an extremely large skeleton mob.
Conservative estimate is at least over two to three hundred skeletons.
But you don't need to go there, you can wait here for the lost skeletons to come into this tunnel, the frequency is pretty high, sometimes one comes every few minutes.
It's better to wait here than scramble everywhere looking for monsters, especially considering the high player traffic in this map.
Also, this location has a hidden escape route, if there are too many skeletons coming at you, you can hide here a bit, as long as you hide well, there won't be a problem, there'll be people coming to clean up...
Oh right, here's a torch I didn't finish using, and here's some water and dry rations too!"
That youth named Xander Xavier who almost shot Doggy Three dead was genuinely good-hearted.
Not only did he bring Dean McKenzie to his leveling spot, but also diligently explained all sorts of situations to him in detail. In the end, he even left a few torches and the dry rations he didn't finish before waving goodbye to Dean McKenzie.
Watching the youngster leave, Dean McKenzie was moved.
He couldn't help but pat Doggy Three.
"That arrow you took was worth it!"
And less than five minutes after bidding farewell to Xander Xavier, Dean McKenzie finally officially started leveling.
From a distance, Dean McKenzie saw a pair of Pupil Fire floating towards him.
"Every existence leaves a trace, the truth can't be hidden!"
Dean McKenzie raised his hand and cast an Appraisal Skill virtually immediately.
[You've successfully used the Appraisal Skill, and obtained the attributes of the Pale Skeleton!]
….
Name: Pale Skeleton
Level: Level 5
Attributes:
Strength: 1.6, Agility 1.4, Physique 1
Attack: 1.6, Defense 0.5.
….
The attributes are equivalent to those of Doggy Two prior to enhancement.
Dean McKenzie can slap the current Doggy Two to death, but he decided not to let Doggy Two participate.
"Don't get involved, I'll take it out myself!"
Saying that, Dean McKenzie, who was keen on leveling up Bone Fang, sent a Bone Fang through the skeleton's eye socket, carrying away the skeleton.
[You used the Bone Fang Skill to kill the Pale Skeleton (Level 5), gaining 3 Experience Points, and increasing your proficiency with the Bone Fang skill!]
Nothing dropped, but Dean McKenzie wasn't disappointed and immediately used his Talent.
[You have successfully used the Extraction talent on the Pale Skeleton. You extracted 0.1 Strength!]
[You have spent 100 Copper Coins to enhance Doggy Two's strength by 0.1!]
….
After dealing with it, Dean McKenzie took the opportunity to sit down and recover his Mana through Meditation while no new skeleton arrived.
Thereafter, like Xander Xavier said, a lost skeleton would wander into the corridor every few to several minutes.
As these skeletons arrived, Dean McKenzie received each warmly, like a zealous and hospitable pawnbroker.
He enthusiastically coveted their values, squeezing every last drop of potential they had.
In this corridor, within just about half an hour, Dean McKenzie had already dealt with 5 Pale Skeletons.
Meanwhile, he was also greeted with his first reward.
[Your Bone Fang Skill level has been increased, its current level is 2!]
….
Skill: Bone Fang
Level: 2 (0/500)
Mana cost: 7 points
Skill Effect: Summons a shoot range of 12 meters, damage equals the Spiritual Power multiplied by 1.1.

The upgrade of the Bone Fang skill is good news for Dean McKenzie.
However, accompanying this good news, came some bad news as well.
This bad news came when Dean McKenzie was preparing to assign attribute points to Doggy Two.
[Please note, the template assigned to your target is an Ordinary Template, and your current Talent Level is 1, so it can only receive up to 5 attribute points before reaching Level 10. Please upgrade the target's template, level, or your own Talent Level!]
