A Spoiled Child

Kara heard the woman's noisy voice and looked up. It was a girl in a fluffy skirt about Kara's age, but because she had heavy makeup on, she looked a bit uncoordinated.

The girl walked into the dining room and saw three people at the dining table. Her eyes widened in surprise.

Her expression was not concealed in the slightest, and her gaze swept around the dining table before falling onto James. She revealed a shocked expression.

Then, she sat beside Mandy with a smile and pointed at James. "This must be my future brother-in-law. Wow, he's so handsome."

No matter what expression James had on his face, the girl smiled and leaned toward James, introducing herself.

"I am Valerie. Hello, my future brother-in-law."

Kara was lost for words.

Mandy saw that James' expression had turned cold, and he gave Mandy a warning glance. Mandy seemed to have just regained her senses and tugged at Valerie's arm.
