CHAPTER TWO

Naomi came back home to a mess. Everyone was running up down. The police, the military were at her house. Her cousin brother was backing orders and her mom was crying. When she saw her mom crying, she couldn't help but cry her own. "Mum". She called as everyone paused to look at her. Everywhere was so quiet all of a sudden. It was pin drop silence, then she called again. "Mum!" and that's when everything came back to life. Naomi. Her mother cried standing up. Mum. She called again. Naomi, my child. Her mum touched her cheeks lovingly. Did they hurt you?, Are you okay?, Who came with you?, I hope your not hurt? She asked looking back and searching her daughter's body for any scratch or injury as naomi just smiled holding her hands. I'm ok mum. Nothing happened to your daughter. She came back to you safe and sound. Naomi said as her cousin brother interrupted her. But how is that possible? He said then corrected himself. Not trying to sound obnoxious but how did you escape when we couldn't find you? He asked feeling so frustrated. Miss whitmoore, we would like to have a word with you. The inspector said. Everyone should calm down. Mrs whitmoore shouted. My daughter who was missing has just been found and I won't allow anyone to bother her. She would go in and shower, eat and rest. When she's fit, she'll tell us. She said giving naomi to the maids to take care of her, then she turned to the officers and folded her hands. Thank you all for the contributions you all put in helping to look for my daughter. I really appreciate. She then turned to the inspector. You don't have to worry. When she's ok to speak, you can also her as many questions as you like. She told them as they nodded and left. Max. She called turning to him. Yes ma'am. He replied. Make sure the press doesn't get wind of this. I'm not ready for their nonsense. She said going up the stairs. Yes ma'am. He said leaving.

**************************************************************************************************All naomi could think of me was the stranger who had rescued her. He didn't have a reason to rescue her but he did. She still couldn't believe that such good people still existed in this world. She thought while her servants brushed her hair. You can all go. I don't need you guys anymore. She said as they stopped. Are you sure ma? A maid asked. I'm not a porcelain doll. I can take care of myself. She said as the maids scurried away while her mom entered. Why are you chasing them out? As naomi turned to her. They all think I'm going to break soon. She said standing up. I'm strong and I can take care of myself. She said sitting on the bed with her mother as they both held hands together. Don't be mad at them. They are just doing their job. She spoke lovingly to her. I know mum and I'm sorry. I just want to lay on your lap so that you can put your hands on my hair like old times. She said lying on her mom's laps. I really missed you mum. She said. I missed you to my cute baby girl.

How are you feeling naomi, my child? Her aunt asked. I'm good aunt Melody. So my dear, why don't you tell us everything that happened to you from the beginning. Her uncle Tom asked as she nodded. This is how this happened.

FLASHBACK

Ruby, I'm coming. I just arrived. She spoke on the phone as the person on the other end was heard complaining. I'm not lying. I just packed my car at the driveway. I'll soon be there. Just be patient. She said walking as a black van stopped in front of her. Three men came out and abducted her.

**************************************************************************************************The van stopped at the middle of nowhere as some of the men came down to ease themselves. No one was paying attention to her and then she used that opportunity to run. Catch her! They shouted chasing after her.

FLASHFORWARD

She told them everything till the moment she met the stranger. I'm so grateful to that man. Her mother said happily. I would really love to meet that man. He doesn't know what he has done for us. Her uncle paused then continued. He has saved a daughter of this family. Tom said. He's supposed to be here for his reward.
