Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Safe Now

After breakfast, she offered to help with the dirty dishes.

"I can't let you do all the work after letting me sleep here," she said.

He stood aside and watched her go ahead. His eyes moved down to her legs, and as she made movements his shirt went along exposing her thighs.

He excused himself grabbing his phone.

When he returned she wasn't in the kitchen.

"Alex" he called softly as he walked around his place. He heard a noise coming from the back outside.

"Nathan, Nathan"Alex was screaming. He ran out to check what was wrong and heard a dog bark.

Alex saw him appear and ran to him jumping and clinging to his body like a koala, He held her up and looked down at the small white dog that was chasing her.

"Ed stops it" he said and the dog stopped and sat down in front of them.

Alex who was holding onto him with a trembling body turned her eyes to see the dog panting.

"Am sorry he gets excited when he sees a new face" Nathan said.

"He seemed to want a piece of me," she said

He chuckled, "I assure you he doesn't, all he wanted was to play with you," he said.

"No, those little dark eyes wanted a bite of my leg" she tightened her hold on him.

He smiled, "Trust me, Ed is a good dog and he won't bite"

Slowly she turned to look down again and Nathan called its name.

"Ed, apologize," he said.

The dog barked loudly back at them. Alex looked away instantly, "Am sorry I just don't believe you?" she said hiding her face in his neck.

"Ed stay here," Nathan said and held Alex moving back to the house.

Still holding on to him, "Your safe now" he let out.

She moved to see they were back inside the house. She breathed.

He was gazing at her softly holding her eyes in his. His hold on her waist was steady as a hand slipped to her behind to hold her up.

"Am sorry about that, I didn't know you had a dog?" she said.

"His usually outside so you didn't see him last night"

"His cute but ferocious" she let out.

His deep laughter made her smile too, "His cute your right". He said.

Silenced followed as they stared into each other's eyes.
