Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Like Her.

Roy watched the now-sleeping Cynthia and sighed, he walked to the living room and called Becca.

"Hi, been gone for two days are you okay?" she asked.

"Am fine, still with the White's daughter" he answered.

"Oh, forgot you had a mission. So how Is it going?" she asked.

"Well I suppose, I think the boss was right. Cynthia might know a lot about her mother's secrets and weaknesses. It's just that...." he stopped.

"That what?.. Don't tell me you're getting soft?" Becca asked.

"It's not that, is just feeling bad for her. She is caught up between her mother's issues and her family" he said.

Becca sighed, "I know Roy but it's not the time to be thinking about that, you need to get more information from her before the boss returns or you will be in trouble"

"I do have some useful information but I think there is more to it than what she told me, so am going to keep trying," he said.

"Okay, but don't forget your boundaries or you and your heart will be in trouble" she warned.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

Becca laughed, "You think I didn't notice how you looked at her every time you got a chance to see her? We all know you like her, it is the reason the boss sent you to her instead of me"

"Huh? but..."

"Dont deny it you do like her, the boss was worried you would not be settled if he sent someone else to her so he choose you for the job. I guess he wanted to help you with getting close to her after all your a slower than a sail" she said.

"Am not..." Roy let out.

"Yes you are" Becca laughed, "but remember, he might be showing you what lays behind the woman you falling for. Can you really handle all the hardships that will come with her," she said.

"I don't care about all that, it's her mother who is the problem not her," he said.

"Hear yourself, you have really fallen for her. We both know what it makes her for keeping quiet about all the horrible secrets of her mother" said Becca.

Roy turned walking to the bedroom where Cynthia was sleeping, gazing at her he smiled.

"She's doing it because that evil woman is still her mother. So I don't hold anything against her" he said.

Becca sighed, "Suit yourself, honey, just make sure to finish's boss task before you fall completely for her," she said hanging up.

Roy quietly went to the bed and pulled the covers to her shoulders then turned off the lights and walked out.
