One of them spoke up, "We thought it was another false rumour"

He scoffed glaring now, "Mrs Green, you and I know I never let anything about me that is false out to the public unless I want it to. I let this one happen cause I wanted people like you to know who she was to me"

"And we are deeply sorry for what happened but that crazy widow of the White's family forced us to do that," another said.

Nathan blinked leaning back in his seat, "So you mean to say, you choose to side with a crazy person instead of me, someone who can make you all lose everything you have now"

They could see a smile on his face but knew he wasn't smiling.

Everyone knew the wrath of the Livingston and they had asked for it by siding with someone else to hurt his girlfriend.

The room was so silent as they all avoided his glance. He looked down when his phone rang. It was Alex calling.

"Mmm," he answered.

"Still busy?" she asked.

"No, am almost done here" he answered glancing back at them.

"Okay, I wanted to ask permission from you to do something," she said.

"Permission? To do what?" he said.

"Ahh, a little meeting with some of your staff here, since you are their boss I didn't want to do anything without asking you if it was okay"

"Go ahead & you don't need to ask me. I told you before, do anything you want" he said.

She giggled, "Thank you"

He chuckled, "Anything else?"

"Not just that, thank you," she said.

He smiled got up, walked to the windows and gazed outside.

She giggled, "I know, now go back to work I won't disturb you again"

She hang up and he chuckled hanging up too.

He turned around sighing as he placed his phone back into his pocket.
