Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

A dark Secret.

"You need to trust me Cynthia or we might not be able to fix this. So tell me everything" she said.

Cynthia sighed watching her sister wipe her tears. She sat back down holding her hand.

"I found this out one day when I heard Mom and Dad arguing," she said.

It was before you came to leave with us, after your father's death.

I heard Dad tell Mom that it was the right thing to do after all everything was yours and not us.

"I wondered what they meant until I found some documents in Dad's safe while trying to steal some money from it," she said.

"They were documented for different land, property and shares with your name on them, but I didn't mind at first so much cause the last name wasn't Charles your father's last name but Levi," she said.

"Levi?" Alex said.

"Mmm, it is the most prestigious and richest mafia family in the country before the Livingston's. And unlike the Livingstons they keep a low profile". She said.

I took a copy of the documents and made some investigations that when I found out Dad was into the mafia business and had been the right-hand man of their eldest son, John Levi.

I confronted him about it and he told me the whole truth.

After meeting Mom who was a maid in the Levi household wanted to quit so he could start a family with her but John wouldn't agree. So Mom convinced Dad to sell their Levi family secrets to their enemy who was able to know where he would be.

John was ambushed by his family on a family outing and was killed while trying to save his daughter and wife.

"Did they survive?" she asked.

"No, only the daughter did, Dad pleaded with the enemy to spare the little girl after both her parents had been killed. Seeing no use of her they let him take her. The Levi family was devastated and revenged killing the entire organisation, including Dad and Mom's families and then going silent. Dad and Mom had already fled with half of the fortune of John".

"And the little girl? "asked Alex.

"Mom not wanting to raise a bloodline of the mafia family that had killed hers gave the child away to her neighbour's maid who raised her as her own with her husband" Cynthia let out.

"So how do I come in this, am not connected to any of this?" Alex asked feeling her body shake.

"It's because you're that little girl, the one John died saving and Dad pleaded to be spared. And the same girl mom gave away to her neighbour's maid called Rosa to raise" Alex shook her head pulling her hand away from her sister, "Your John Levi daughter's, Alexandria Levi".

Alex sprung up, "That's impossible, my father was Liam Charles, not John Levi. He must have lied to you" she cried.

"Ask yourself why after your adoptive father died, father didn't hesitate to take you in. He treated you so well and adopted you because of the guilt he felt for what he did. And this made Mother hate you even more that's why she kept hurting you"....Cynthia grabbed her sister's hand, "Alex you knew him he would never lie on such a serious matter"

Alex felt her tears fall as a headache crept in. Holding her head she staggered but Cynthia held her.

"Am sorry I didn't want to tell you but you forced me" she cried. "Tue reason mom didn't like you was that she saw you as a threat to her fortune if you ever found out it all belonged to you".

Pulling away she gulped, "So the reason your mother didn't like me and kept having arguments with father and even went ahead as to kill him was so she could keep the fortune to herself?"

Cynthia nodded. "Am sorry"

Alex moved walking away, "Please don't follow me, I need some air" she muttered.

Cynthia stood still crying, knowing her sister wasn't fully recovered she turned back to the table grabbed her phone and called Roy's number.
