Worry

"Thompson come here.", urged Carolina seeing Thompson climbing down the stairs.

"What happened", seeing curious faces of the mother and other, he got intrigued.

"Did something happened to Xander in the camp.", questioned Carolina with a curious expression.

Thompson got stumped after hearing the question, not knowing how to answer.

Seeing him behave like this, Viola got worried.

"Thompson, if you are hiding something from us, then you better be prepared for punishment.", said Carolina with a serious expression.

'Xander, I hope you will understand the betrayal.'

After taking a deep breath, Thompson told what happened on the first day of the camp but omitted the part about Ronnie and group, as it will bring unnecessary problems for the family in business.

Thompson was not allowed does not mean he got no news of the business.

Thompson and Warren had always been interested in business, unlike Xander and Luke, whose minds are always loaded with gadgets and upcoming technologies.

"What?", exclaimed Viola.

"Why didn't you all tell us this before", said Carolina angrily.

Luke seeing their angry expression wanted to hide before they see him, but his luck was not that much better.

"Luke, come here.", seeing the angry expression of his mother made Luke timid.

"Why didn't you tell about the incident?", asked Viola.

"I knew it will worry you, so, I discussed with Thompson to hide the incident from you all.", said Luke after gathering whatever courage he had in him.

"I will be worried, I am worried. How can both of you hide this from us?", rebuked Viola.

"Well ...", they tried to say something but got interrupted by Xander.

"Nothing happened to me, mother. I just got fainted when roaming around the jungle."

"Xander, do you have any injury? Let's go to the doctor for a checkup.", said the panicked Viola.

"Mom, I am serious nothing happened, otherwise, I would have returned on the first day of the camp.", Xander wanted to make Viola calm down before he says more, so, he made her sit down.

Viola after hearing his words, calm down a bit but still wanted to check for any injury he may have.

Carolina was still glaring at Luke and Thompson.

"You are not allowed to hide this type of things from us. You hear me?", keeping their heads down, both noded.

"And Xander, don't just carelessly roam in the jungle. What if something serious happened to you? You should be more careful with your life.", said Carolina.

'Well, I already died, so, what more serious can happen.'

"I got it, aunt Carolina", the words and thoughts of Xander might be different, but he means it, what he said.

"Since, everything has been made clear, why not just let them go? They should be hungry.", Gabriella tried to calm down the heated atmosphere.

After a breath later, Taylor came.

Viola said," Ok, but if I found about something like this happened again, you all better be prepared for the punishment."

"We understand, Mom.", a soft sigh and a joy emerged in a small corner of Xan's heart.

He has not seen his family or to be correctly said he never had a proper family in his last life.

Xan wanted to cry but hold himself together to not make others worried about him.

Due to the small banter, the atmosphere during dinner was a little tense but small talks by Luke, Thompson, and Taylor helped in calming it down.

Soon, their mothers started asking about the competition and activities during the camp.

Xan quite nature during the dinner made Viola a bit worried but not seeing anything wrong with him, she tried to calm down.

Xan joined in between the conversation to not make others suspicious of him.

"I am going back to my room. I am a bit sleepy by the trip.", after finishing dinner, Xander wanted to go back to his room to cultivate.

During the camp, he had been unable to meditate. Either his brothers were near him or he has to participate in the activities with others.

Now, getting some privacy the first thought that he has was to cultivate and reach a higher realm.

"Ok, rest well and if you think anything is wrong, immediately tell me about it.",said Viola with care.

"Yes."

Taylor didn't get any chance during the camp to talk to Xan privately.

Even during the competition, Xan was focusing on finding the tokens with her, and she was also excited about winning, so she forgot all about it.

"Mom, I want to stay here tonight. Is it okay?", asked Taylor.

"Ok, but you should come back by lunch tomorrow.", not giving it much thought Gabriella accepted her request.

Taylor has spent multiple nights at Matthew family house. It is so frequent that there is a separate room for Taylor in the house.
