700 Divine Interview

Surtr looks down at the Imperial City from the very top of the White-Gold Tower. Declaring himself Emperor had been almost laughably easy, especially when he could just mind control his political opponents.

He was the rightful heir to the Empire, and any who disputed that were just looking for their own personal gain, or at least, that's what the rest of Cyrodil thinks now. Swaying public opinion was as easy as shouting in the middle of the Town Square.

His coronation had occurred a day ago, allowing him to brainwash every single person present, this included the many Thalmor agents that had been plotting to assassinate him, leaving him with very valuable spies with which to do his bidding.

The Thalmor could be stalled for now however, his true enemy wouldn't wait for long, he had to take the fight to him... He clenches his fists and glances down at the back of his left hand which had the Gandalfr runes dimly glowing.

"No time to waste." he mutters, throwing himself off of the ledge and using the Dragon Aspect shout to grow wings and fly. He heads to a large field in the distance where the remains of an old Oblivion portal lay. Louise and Joseph were already there preparing a ritual circle that would help them contact a Daedric Lord without risking their own personal safety.

He lands with a heavy thud and marches over, stopping behind Louise as she finishes the circle, "Is it ready?"

She nods, "It is... We shouldn't have any trouble, but I'd stay on guard... I've never dealt with a god before..." she gets up and takes a few steps back, Joseph and Surtr joining her.

"Do it." he orders and both mages raise their wands.

A long chant later and a circular dimension door opens up to what could only be called a burning hellscape. A sea of lava with the only land visible being a scorched black island with no visible life upon it.

It wasn't a true portal, the sight rippled as it was technically just a window, not a real way into Nirn. This, of course, was exactly what they wanted. Especially so when a giant burning eye looks through it and directly at them.

"WHO DARES TRESPASS INTO MY REEAAALLLM!!???" Mehrunes Dagon roars, still thoroughly enraged at Michael's escape and the destruction he'd wrought by leading the other Daedric Princes to his realm.

"I am Surtr! The Last Dragonborn and true blood of Akatosh! I seek to make a deal with you, Mehrunes Dagon! One that will suit both our interests!" he exclaims while standing proudly and confidently in front of the window.

Mehrunes Dagon steps back and reveals his full might to them, his giant red-skinned, forearmed body rippling with power as he stands knee-deep in the ocean of magma. "A DEAL!? A PATHETIC HALF-MORTAL LIKE YOU WISHES TO DEAL WITH MEEE!? I WILL TEAR YOUR SOUL OUT AND EAT IT, BUT NOT BEFORE I RAVAGE YOUR REALM AND DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU LO-"

*ZWIP!*

The door closes in Dagon's face, shutting off the link and leaving the trio in awkward silence.

"... Shall we try that again?" Joseph questions with a forced smile.

Surtr wets his lips and nods, "A Daedra that wouldn't try to destroy Nirn, if you can..." he drawls.

They open the portal up two more times, one revealing Molag Bal who they immediately reject, and another with Peryite, who they tried to come to an agreement to but ended up refusing in the end... Neither party wanted to agree to the other's terms, thus, they were forced to summon the fourth portal today.

The trio are almost blinded by the eye-searing sight as it opens, but the light soon dims into darkness, allowing them to try to gain a glimpse into it... After another moment however, the light returns, starting the cycle once more.

Dawn and Dusk, the Concepts which the Daedric Prince Azura rules.

"Azura! I have come to bargain!" Surtr exclaims through the portal, keeping his eyes shut as to not blind himself.

...

"And what, pray tell, do you have to offer me, Mortal?"

"I am no mortal! I am the Dragonborn! Son of Akatosh and defeating of Alduin the World-Eater!"

"You think yourself a god? Pathetic. Your body will wither and fade, I will enjoy watching your pride and ego turn to ash with it." Azura drawls from behind the cycles of night and day in her realm.

Surtr shakes his head and refocuses on his reason for being here, "I seek to kill a God, one that has taken much from you. With your help we could make his end a reality... Help us kill Michael Tahlin, the one who took Clavicus Vile's place!"

...

"That one... Hmph, even before Mantling he was a sore pain. Corrupting my star, killing my Champion... He may not have been the one to steal my power and people, but he is the one to inherit it afterwards... Very well... What are your terms?" she asks, finally showing herself in front of the window.

She looked like a stupidly beautiful Dunmer, brown hair tied up in a ponytail with a luxurious white dress that displayed her arms and shoulders. Her red eyes glowed with untapped power, and the slight grin on her lips revealed her malicious intent... Though, whether or not that was directed at the trio or merely Michael is anyone's guess.

"We will bring you and your full power into Nirn so you can fight Michael on even grounds. But! You must agree that once Michael had been defeated, you will return to your realm immediately! Daedric Princes do not belong here, not Michael, and certainly not you!" Surtr states.

...

She tucks her fist under her chin in thought for a couple moments before eventually nodding, "I agree. Now, when can I act? I wish to reclaim my Dusk from that thieving whelp!"
