16. Humans are Monster Too

C-Rank Gates are quite common now and Indra has seen a few of them. He hasn't seen any B-Rank Gate yet, but they should've appeared somewhere. It's just that there is still no ranking system even after 6 months, so he doesn't know whether B-Rank or even A-Rank Gates have appeared.

But even if there's no ranking system yet, some things have progressed. They have come up with the name Awakeners for those who awaken magic power and Hunters for awakeners who hunt monsters in dungeons.

There's no tool to measure Awakener's magic power yet, so currently each country measures the Awakeners' power through simple tests like using punching machines, grip tests, other physical tests, or testing their power by looking at the damage caused by their magic skills, which is still vague.

But at least now they have a Bureau that handles everything related to Gates & Hunters named Hunter Bureau. It is an official department made by the Kingdom to take care of everything regarding Hunters and Gates.

Well, none of that matters for Indra. He only cares about getting stronger for now, so the only thing he needs from the Hunter Bureau is the information about Gates that appears near his home that he can raid.

In the last few months, Indra has cleared a lot of dungeons which makes the Hunter Bureau very confused because Gates in this area kept closing without any reason. They are thankful that the Gates disappeared, but they are also worried that it might be a sign of more dangers.

Indra now also has expanded his range to search for Dungeons to raid. He expanded it because now he can run very far and not get too exhausted. He wanted to buy a cheap bicycle at first, but then he realized that running is faster than riding a bicycle.

As usual, he plans to look for Gates to raid tonight, but then something unexpected happens. He is just running towards the closest Gate he saw in the news. But then he detected 2 Awakeners in a dark & narrow alley when he passed by.

Normally, he would ignore it because maybe they were just smoking or drinking there. But he hears something disturbing with his heightened senses that makes his hearing more sensitive. So he uses Stealth and approaches the 2 Awakeners.

Then he sees something that makes his blood boil. A man is lying on the floor with a lot of injuries, clearly getting beaten up very badly, but he's still alive. Then there is a woman and the 2 Awakeners.

The woman is crying with her mouth tied tightly with cloth. Her hands are also tied with a rope while being held by one of the awakeners. As for the other awakener, he is starting to take off his clothes, starting from his shirt.

"Shut up, woman! If you keep struggling, then I will really kill your husband. He is still alive now, so maybe if you can satisfy us quickly, you will have time to bring him to the hospital, hahaha!"

Indra wants to act quickly, but it won't be that easy because the awakeners are C-Rank and E-Rank. The E-Rank isn't a problem for him, but the C-Rank might be dangerous. Also, if he acts rashly, the woman might be put in more danger instead, so he needs to make a quick plan.

The C-Rank guy is the one who takes off his clothes now while the E-Rank is the one holding the woman from behind. Tiger sees the C-Rank guy finally take off his underwear and show his small & bushy little Johnny.

'SHIT! I NEED TO ACT QUICKLY.'

Indra can't think of any other solution, so he quickly kicks the C-Rank guy's little D from behind while still being invisible. The C-Rank guy feels great pain spreading all over his body that paralyzes him, so he can only fall to the floor as his eyes roll upward and foam comes out of his mouth.

His E-Rank friend is stunned and doesn't know what has just happened. Then suddenly black chains come out of the ground and bind him, making him unable to move even an inch. He gets scared as he doesn't know what is happening now.

"Are you scared? Such an irony. You didn't even bat an eye when beating that man but now you get scared by such meager skill. Truly pitiful."

Indra slowly reveals himself while releasing the woman from the E-Rank awakener's hands. But Indra is covering his face's lower half with cloth and ever wears leather gloves & shoes. He releases the woman before kicking the E-Rank guy's little D just like the C-Rank guy.

The woman is still cowering, afraid that Indra is another criminal. But then she sees Indra heal her injured husband who almost loses his life. She is dumbfounded and looks at the mysterious person who saves her & her husband's lives confusedly.

"Call an ambulance. He still needs treatment in the hospital. Leave these guys to me. They are awakeners, so I doubt the police can handle them. Be safe."

Indra picks the awakeners by their collars and drags them away.

"T-thank you."

"Be very careful next time."

The woman then sees Indra leave with the 2 unconscious guys before she calls an ambulance for her husband. She doesn't know what will happen to those 2 and she doesn't care. She only wants her husband to be treated quickly.

Meanwhile, Indra has taken the 2 assholes to an abandoned building. They have regained their consciousness, but the pain still doesn't leave their bodies. After all, Indra's kicks have destroyed the balls that hang between their legs, so the pain won't disappear soon.

"You know, on the way here, I kept thinking of what to do with you. Rape is one of the crimes that I hate the most. Just looking at you doing that so naturally was enough to tell me this is not the 1st or 2nd time you did it. You received great power, but you decided to use it for such a disgusting act of crime. I have never killed people before, but it seems that will change today. Ah, wrong. I don't know if I can call you 2 as people. You are nothing but beasts in human skin."

Indra uses Binding Chains and Curse of Blindness on them, making them unable to move and lose eyesight. They are panicking and Indra drops poison into their mouth which makes them wriggle in agony from the pain caused by the poison.

"Tsk! I'm really not suited for this. Even Calmness can't really calm me down. I want to punish you more, but I'm not a psychopath, so let's just end this."

Indra takes out a pair of daggers from his inventory and stabs the 2's hearts. He kills them because he really thinks he can't let them go. At first, he thought of releasing them after cutting their little D, but they are Awakeners, so they have the power to kill people easily in the future.

[Level Up]

He levels up after killing the 2 awakeners, but it doesn't make him happy. Still, it also doesn't make him feel bad because these 2 are just as bad as monsters. They are still humans though, so killing them still doesn't feel good.

'I don't feel much emotion after killing 2 humans. Even if they are evil people, they are still humans. This must be the effect of the Calmness skill that keeps my emotions under control and makes me stay rational. The only thing on my mind now is what to do with them.'

Indra stores the 2 corpses in his inventory before going to the nearest Gate. He wanted to raid it before, but he's not in the mood to do it now. Besides, he has wasted quite some time taking care of those 2 assholes, so he's not sure he can finish his raid on time.

'Hmm, it's just a D-Rank Gate, huh? Not really a loss.'

He enters the Gate while using Stealth as usual to avoid being seen. Then he looks for the monsters and finds a group of dark blue wolf-like monsters with metal fangs & claws. He throws the 2 corpses at the wolves before leaving the dungeon.
