Chapter 26: I hate this guy!

Panic instantly spreads across my face as I begin to think of when I should leave and who to say goodbye to, seeing as I most likely wont return ever again, I ask ROB, "How long do I have left there!?"

He smiles at me and says, "You have about five and a half years, maybe six until you need to leave for another world. After that time you will be forcefully ejected from that world along with whoever is with you."

Instantly, as if I had stepped through a flowing waterfall, a wave of relief washes over me that is soon replaces by a mild anger.

'Is this guy seriously trying to give me a heart attack?'

I look at ROB, yelling, "Don't scare me like that you asshole! You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

He just laughs at my anger and brushes me off. Knowing that there is nothing that can be done about it, I begin to think about how I will play off our departure from the world without flat out saying that we will be leaving for another universe.

'I could say that we are going to explore the world and won't return for a long time. That could work.'

He says with a sneer, "Figured you aught to know."

I roll my eyes and, in a snarky tone, say, "Whatever, you no nose stuttering bastard. If that's all you have to tell me then send me home. Unlike you, I have a beautiful maiden waiting for me at home."

He scowls and says, "The reason I brought you here was to make you your very own version of the weapons. Hand me the crest you were given and I will create the three weapons you have earned."

After saying his peace, he holds out his hand. Putting the crest of Kratos in his palm, the medal begins to glow in a violet color. Three brightly glowing wisps of ethereal dark purple smoke began to encircle the medal, gradually obscuring its luster. The first wisp floated toward my right and began to glow in a bright blue color. Suddenly, the glowing smoke faded to reveal an exact replica of the Leviathan Axe. It is a large, two-handed weapon crafted from the ice of the realms and adorned with intricate Nordic designs. It has a robust and imposing appearance, with a sharp, axe-head at the top and a long, ornately designed handle. The axe-head has a glowing blue gem embedded in its center, which illuminates the weapon and gives it a freezingly cold aura. One of the unique features of the Leviathan Axe is its elemental ability of frost, allowing Kratos to freeze enemies and objects with each strike. In combat, the Leviathan Axe is highly versatile. Kratos can use it for both close-range melee attacks and ranged throwing maneuvers. When thrown, the axe can be recalled to Kratos' hand at will, allowing for strategic and precise strikes.

The second wisp floating directly in front of me, started to twist and burst into a ball of bright red flames. These flames, though directly infront of me, didn't emit heat. Instead, it seemed to make me angry. This ball of flames began to condense into the Blades of Chaos. These blades have a distinctive design characterized by their dual, serrated edges that curve at the end. These blades were attached to Kratos' forearms via chains. The blades are forged from the depths of Hades and bound to Kratos by the god Ares, signifying his eternal servitude to the god of war. These blades were imbued with the elemental power of fire, adding a devastating burning effect to its attacks.

The final wisp condensed into a sleek, piercing spear. The smoke reshaped into a gold arm band with what looks like marble encircling the middle of it. The spear itself can be used as a melee weapon for both light and heavy attacks. Due to being attuned to the element of wind and its ever-multiplying nature, it has several unique abilities. The first is that it can be thrown an infinite number of times, with the ring creating a new spear with every throw. The copies can then be detonated by the wielder by slamming the butt of the spear into the ground. Another ability it has is that its wind elemental powers can draw in opponents before blasting them back, such as over a cliff or into a pool of lava for a quick finish to enemies. Additionally, the spear can be used to siphon off an enemy's magical power and use it for a short time.

As the wisps of smoke completed their transformation, the bronze medal in ROB's hand had entirely vanished, replaced by these three incredibly powerful weapons, each representing a unique aspect of Kratos's life and abilities. Staying this way for only a few seconds, they transformed back into their wispy forms and flew toward my chest. they paused for a moment, then seemingly merged with me. Looking toward ROB's hand, I notice that the medal had turned into dust that he was in the process of cleaning off of his hand.

He scowls at me again and says, "I have also added a messaging board to your system. It'll allow us to communicate without you coming to my void space." Immediately after he finishes his sentence, he creates the same portal that brought me here. I sneer in victory and, before walking through, I think of an incredible idea for payback.

I look back at him with a smug smile and say in my best mega mind impression, "What's the matter? No maidens?"

Seeing his face change from mild annoyance to warm anger, I quickly step through the portal before he can retort back to my provocation.

The last thing I heard him say was, "For your inf-"

The portal quickly closes and I can't help but laugh at this small victory over the annoyance that is my ROB.

'You get what you deserve I guess. Serves him right."

Astrid asks, "What is with that smug laugh? Something funny happen? Care to explain it to me?"

Quickly turning around, I rush toward her and pick her up into my arms. I smile widely and, in a nightly voice, say, "My wonderful and fair maiden! How hath thou faired in mine absence?"

I hear her beautiful, enchanting laugh that instantly makes me fall for her all over again.

'So this is love huh? Feels nice."

Mimicking my smile and tone, she says, "I hath fared quite nicely in thine absence, my knight! Hath thou obtained the object of thine quest?"

Continuing with the bit, I say, "Doth I sense thine trust in your knight wavering?"

She laughs sarcastically and says in her normal accent, "Ha. Ha. I'm being serious here. Did you get the weapons or what?"

I give her a quick peck and, with a smug smile, I say, "Wanna see em?"
