Ministry of Magic

"How are we getting to the Ministry?" asked Kenneth. They were walking down the alleyway of Diagon Alley while Nagini was linking arms with him, there were more than a few people staring at them.

"Spatial magic of course, there is a place outside the ministry where people are allowed to apparate to," She paused because she saw a figure walking by and she called out, "Madam Melkins! Fancy seeing you outside your shop in the business hours. I wanted to introduce you to by Husband, Jason Kenneth Webb, the cloths I got from you really fits him well."

Just like Nagini, Madam Melkins was wearing a dress from the 50s, she had black hair that was made into a bun, and as you expect form a woman who ran a clothing shop, she looked extremely neat. Madam Melkins looked at Kenneth with interest and shook his hands saying, "pleasure to meet you, Mr. Webb, the cloths really suit you."

"That's what I said," exclaimed Nagini, looking very pleased.

"Pleasure to meet you as well Madam, thank you for designing such exceptional clothing, they are very comfortable. My wife seemed happier than I am because of them, you have done me a favour," flattered Kenneth. Nagini looked even more please at the word "wife".

Madam Melkins said, "Mr. Webb, since you like them so much, I would like to ask you for a favour."

"What would you like me to do, Madam?" asked Kenneth.

"I want you and your wife to model for us, you see, every year we run a few promotions, for these promotions we have few couple wear our clothing, we make posters of the couple and display them on our windows and around the Alley," said Madam Melkins.

Kenneth asked Nagini telepathically, "What do you think?"

"I don't see why not, she and Alice has always been kind to me since I arrived here 6 years ago," Nagini answered.

"Sure, we would love to help you, Madam. But I would like to add a condition, is it possible for you to mention that we are from Nagini's Spatial Items on your posters?" asked Kenneth.

"That's simple, I can get the session set up for tomorrow afternoon, will you two be available?" asked the tailor.

"We will be there," replied Nagini, they chatted a bit more before parting each other. Nagini started humming under her breath while they walked.

"You seem to be in a good mood?" asked Kenneth.

"You have no idea how many times I have dreamt of a day like this in the last 6 years," she replied while smiling sweetly, Kenneth, looking at Nagini, warm feeling sprouted in his heart.

They entered an empty alley and teleported to the Ministry of Magic, visitors entrance. It was just as the books described it as, empty alleyway with several shabby offices and a single pub with a wall that was filled with graffiti. There was a broken-down telephone box in one side of the alleyway. Nagini lead Kenneth and squeezed into the telephone box and typed "62442" and a witch's voice was heard from the thin air.

"Welcome to the Ministry of Magic, please state your business," said the voice.

"We have come for few reasons, my husband has moved to Britain recently, so for one, we need to register his wand with the Britain's ministry, second he is an Animagus, he needs to register for that as well, thirdly we need to register our marriage as well, my name is Nagini Webb and my husband is Jason Kenneth Webb" said Nagini.

Two visitor tags appeared out of thin air with their name and purpose stated in them. The voice said, "You will be moving towards the Atrium on the 8th floor, after the details of your wand will be taken down, there will be someone to escort you to you designated department. Thank you."

Soon the floor of the telephone box started to sink, after a few minutes it came to a stop and its doors opened. The atrium was a huge open space, the floor was paves with dark tiles while there were multiple fireplaces on both left and right sides, from time-to-time witches and wizards was coming through them through the floo network.

After stepping into the hall, a man greeted them, "Hello, I am Eric Munch. what is the purpose of your visit?"

Nagini was the one to re-explain the purpose of their visit, then Eric used a Probity Probe to scan the two of them for hidden items, when they both passed the scan, their wands were taken by Eric and registered. Eric then said, "Please follow me."

They followed him down the hall, soon they came to a fountain, the statue in the fountain was made of a wizard, a witch, a centaur, a goblin and a house-elf. Behind the fountain was door that led to different floors of the ministry. They entered the door that led to the 2nd floor of the Ministry where the Department of Civil Affairs shared a floor with the Department of Law Enforcement.

They found themselves in a corridor that had doors on both sides, and at the end of the corridor was large double oak doors, there was a label on top of the doors that said "Auror's Headquarters". Eric led them to a door that was on the side of the corridor, the wooden door had been labelled as "Department of Civil Affairs", Eric then said, "Just head in and explain what you want to do to the receptionist, they will have everything done."

Inside the DCA was spacious, but only a single desk was assigned to the DWWM, the process of registering as a wizard that lives in Britain and getting the marriage certificate was extremely boring. The women at the reception desk ran through the whole process, there was not much required for them to provide expect for few answers about Kenneth's background, which Nagini and Kenneth had talked beforehand, what surprised Kenneth was that in the last 6 years Nagini had prepared everything to a thorough details, she even had a house registered under her and her "husband" in France. As for the marriage certificate, both their pictures were taken and pasted onto a document, Nagini looked incredibly happy while holding the piece of paper.

When they came out of the DCA, they heard a women's voice say in a rush, "We need to send more auror's for backup, they are the lasts of the Karkaroff's death eater list, we can't have any mess ups."

Kenneth froze at the sound of the voice, he looked at the women. She was fairly tall and stood upright with pride, brunette with brown eyes, pale skin, neatly dressed and she talked with authority. It was Kenneth's aunt, Amelia Bones, He averted his eyes from her and took a deep breath to stop the tears filling up his eyes as walked with Nagini. Nagini felt the odd behavior of Kenneth but still kept quiet.

They came out of the ministry and Nagini asked, "What do you plan to do now?"

"I don't know anything about magic, I want to study, I guess I'll start with the Hogwarts's curriculum and see how it goes from there. I guess I can apply and do O.W.Ls and N.E.W.Ts independently. Also, I want to help out at the store, teach me how to make spatial items, I'll help you with creating new Items," said Kenneth.

"You don't have to worry about the store, I can take care of it. Just to what you need to do, I just hope there will be a day when you trust me enough to tell me everything," smiled Nagini.

Kenneth took a long look at the women that had done so much for him in the last 6 years without him even knowing or asking. He was touched, he took her hand and said, "I may not have much now, but since I am your husband, I won't let you feel aggrieved, I will take care of you just as you have to the best of my abilities."

Nagini smiled happily and moved closer to Kenneth as they talked and moved towards their home in Diagon Alley.
