Leaving the auror training grounds

"Nagini?"

Kenneth found Nagini in the entrance of the cave, facing it absentmindedly. She was startled by someone calling her. Through their connection, he felt her emotions spike. Realizing that it may be due to their connection being broken while he was with Amis, he explained.

"Actually, there was a secret place inside the training grounds forest; there was a barrier of some sort that disrupted the connection between us. See? I'm perfectly fine, am I not?"

Nagini just smiled as she hugged Kenneth and said, "thank goodness, I thought something happened to you." This was not really a lie; she really was worried sick when the connection broke initially.

"Is that why are came here? To look for me? Doesn't our connection tell you were I am?"

Letting go of Kenneth, Nagini looked deep into Kenneth's eye. Knowing that she couldn't explain herself, she sighed decided to just confront him, "Jase, I actually visited the centaurs and the barrier. They called me something that was really confused me. They called me "Mistress Bones"…"

Kenneth froze on the spot

"…It confused me since the only "human" around were you, and then I came here for a routine clean up. Jase, I found something in the cave… a letter"

Nagini took out a wand and said, "accio letter"

The letter that was on bed floated into the air then zoomed out of the cave and stopped besides Nagini. Kenneth took the letter with a frown and read it, his eyes froze on the words for a moment "Dear Kenneth.." the continued reading. He read it a few times before he burned it to ashes.

Even though he had a poker face on. He was completely blindsided by his Aunt, his identity was exposed to more than himself and to him, it was not a good thing. To Kenneth, the most dangerous type of magic that exist in the wizarding world was not dark magic, it was mind magic. If someone of excels at it, then there is no secret that can be kept a secret to that person. Now that his Aunt knows, there is a bigger risk of others finding out about him, this means that he is losing an advantage that he has, being autonomous and being in the dark. It seems to him he will have to be more pro-active in dealing with Voldemort. But he could formulate plans later, he could still feel that Nagini was feeling upset. So he put those thoughts aside temporarily and took a look deep look at the women in front of him.

"Gini…" He did not know how to explain himself.

"Are you still not able to tell me the whole story?"

Kenneth felt the feeling of bitterness oozing through their connection. So before he started to explain himself, he opened up their connection completely, Nagini felt all of Kenneth's emotions pored through the connection while he muttered, "I love you, Gini."

The shear amount of emotions that flooded Nagini brought tears to her eyes and washed most of the bitterness instantly. She still felt indignant, so she said, "I know, but I can't help feel you don't trust me completely"

"It's not that I kept things from you intentionally, Gini. I know this isn't an excuse but I thought it was the best I can do to protect you, protect us, protect what we have; I don't want to lose that. At least until we are ready. I was going to tell you everything once both of us could completely protect our thoughts from others. So I would have told you everything in a couple of months anyway. But now it seems I need to come forward, you are more important than any secret." Said Kenneth mustering as much sincerity as possible. he couldn't help but laminate and wonder if he had been doing what Dumbledore always did in the original story.

After a moment of silence in between the two, Nagini asked, "So are you really Kenneth Bones?"

"Yes," Kenneth answered straight forwardly.

Nagini was speechless, being married to a kid nearing 8 years old, while she herself was reaching her 80s.

"So Jason Webb is a lie?" she asked.

"No, he is also me," said Kenneth, still keeping a serious face.

Nagini was again speechless, she wanted to cry out "BULLSHIT" and throw something at the man's face. Before she could ask another question, Kenneth asked a question that was even more absurd, "Do you believe in reincarnation?"

Kenneth paused, wanted for the question to sink in then continued before she could comment, "Think about it, we have souls, and that is a fact since there has been instances dementors can suck it out with a kiss. It is not farfetched if you think about it. If a wizard or witch is familiar with soul magic, they could, in theory, take a soul out of a dying person's body and put it in a compatible body of an infant?"

Nagini's eye widened with realization, and then she shivered, playing with souls? Sound like a chapter from a dark wizards diary.

"are you saying Voldemort did that to you?"

"Oh no, I doubt Voldemort was proficient in soul magic. What I am trying to say was that it is what happened to me. I am Jason Webb, the muggle in that story, it's just that after I died, I was reborn into Bones family and almost as if it was fated, Voldemort targeted the family I was born into. I know it's hard to b…"

"I believe you," she then frowned and corrected herself, "I don't know if reincarnation exists, but I choose to believe you Jase. I trust you, I simply wanted to be trusted as well. So anymore secrets?" Nagini really did believe him, after all the connection was completely open between them; there is no way for him to lie. More than anything she was just glad she is not married to a kid.

After shaking his head, Kenneth breathed a sigh of relief, it was for two reasons, one because he really did not want a rift between then, and the other is that he strangely felt free.

"What are you going to do about your aunt?" asked Nagini.

"I don't know, but we will have to leave that to later, I have to get back to the training ground and finish the test."

"Okay, stay safe. Ill head back home. Ill tell you later to where I am opening the next hope in."

Kenneth reappeared inside the tunnel and made his way outside. While being with Amis, one of the things he realized was that his recon-spell is flawed. It did not pick up Amis, and he had developed a dependence on the spell to alert him. He realized that his long distance recon spell only picked up magical signatures, souls doesn't seem to register into that category, he wondered if ghosts and dementors emit magical signatures. Whereas his short distance recon-spell, although uses spatial magic to give him detailed mapping of the surround, again souls don't seem to be part of "space" so he knew, ghosts wouldn't fit into it either.

"Seems like I'll have to come up with a newer version of it."

The moment he came out of the under pathway, the huge boulder that was floating above slowly floated down and covered the entrance. Orius and the elders of the centaur camp were waiting for him with grazes full of expectation.

To Kenneth's surprise, Orius handed him two other metal tokens with DMLE insignia on it. With that Kenneth had passed the Concealment, Disguise, Stealth and Tracking part of the course, this meant that him becoming a Junior Auror on probation was set in stone.

After they all went into the Chiefs hut, Kenneth explained that there is an ancient wizards soul residing inside the barrier. The centaurs were excited to hear that they may finally have access to their ancestor's teachings and magic. It was then Kenneth broke it to them that Amis did not teach him anything as he deemed Kenneth is not "ready". He also explained that Amis allowed Orius to enter the barrier; however, the catch is that the centaur, namely the leader of them needs to be bonded magically to Kenneth.

"I'm willing" said Orius

"Orius, no! do you know what a magical bond means? You are the leader of the entire centaur race, you being bonded to their kind magically mean the entire centaur race on Britain will have to answer to him. Even if we agree, other tribe leaders would not agree!" said another elder and the other elders nodded in approval.

Kenneth did not really care; it was up to them to decide the future of their kind. He still didn't get all the answer to their so called prophesy, but until he learned the truth from Amis, he would just focus on getting stronger and dealing with Voldemort.

After hesitating, Orius said to Kenneth, "Master Bones, I am unable make a decision by myself. After all we are talking about the centaurs of all magical Britain. We will call for a great tribal gathering, the leaders will stargaze and predict the future of our race and decide. It will take a couple of months; I hope you do not mind."

"It'd up to you, just send word to me when you decided." said Kenneth.

Senior Auror Theodore Kenworthy was sitting behind his desk running through some cases. He was only 130 years old; young for a wizard, if not for his injuries he would still be in the field. All he did now was train young aurors and go through and sort out Intel for active cases. Just as he was about to take a break to stretch him aching back there was knock on his office door.

"Come in," Theodore watched as Kenneth walked into his office. He was surprised; Kenneth was barely gone for a week. He reckoned the reason Kenneth was back so soon was because he failed the test.

"Senior Theodore, I have completed the test"

"Oh I see, it's fine young man, there is always the ne… huh? What? You completed it?" Theodore frowned, even just travelling should have taken days, that's one of the reason that task was given 1 month to complete. To some, even the month was not enough.

Kenneth handed the token for the shocked auror to check the authenticity. He actually completed it in a day, but he couldn't really say the centaurs handed all three tokens to him, so he stayed in the forest and familiarized himself with this breakthrough. The green core had 4 times the magic the blue core had, and his soul was also merging together and getting stronger as well. Kenneth felt that the more his soul merged together the better control and faster his magic absorption rate became. His body also became slightly stronger, but Kenneth was not satisfied with it. Since Amis said that mind, soul and body has to become stronger simultaneously for wizards to keep climbing up the power ladder. Kenneth decided to research into body magic, he already formulated a theory he was going to practice.

"These are real" muttered the senior auror. "Very well young man, I will send word to the ministry. You need to report to the DMLE tomorrow early morning. I have to say, congratulations are in order, I have never seen a wizard or witch who completed the training in just 7 months. But do take care boy, the real work can be nastier that you can imagine." he said as he patted his left leg, it was that made him retire so early.

"Thank you senior Theodore," Kenneth said with a smile

"Well off you go then, I hope you continue to grow. Your next goal should be in becoming a HIT Wizard"

Kenneth thanks him again before leaving. Before he report to the ministry tomorrow, he had to do one more thing. He and Nagini had been talking telepathically, they both decided that it was best for him to meet his aunt. For one, he could warn her about the potential dangers, two, he could get her advice on the inner working of the ministry and who he should and should not be careful of, three, plan for the future.
