Gravity and Time Magic

Nagini ignored Jason's expression and crossed arms with him and replied to the girl without an ounce of shame, "Of course he is handsome, you did not think I would just pick anyone to marry right? and yes you can call me that, come honey, let me introduce you, this is Jennet Green, she is the day shift manager. And this is John Petersons, he is the evening shift manager. The other four are helping them with the store, this is Tina, this is Kevin, this is Dennis and finally this is Amy."

After Kenneth greeted them, they all sat around the table and started chatting and have their dinner. When Kenneth was walking back up with Nagini, he looked at her with raised eyebrows and asked, "Husband?"

She made a cheeky grin and said, "Well I said I'll testify and guarantee for you at the ministry. But unlike Dumbledore, I don't have any power in the ministry. So, you can only be my husband, and no I cannot introduce you as my distant cousin because they perform a blood relation magic to verify that. We only need to say that we are both orphans that had a quiet wedding by ourselves in France." When she saw Kenneth speechless face, she continued, "Relax, I think it turned out good. I think while we are at the ministry to register you as a Wizard and Animagus, I think we should file out marriage at DWWM that's under DMA, that's Department of Wizards and Witches Marriages under Department of Magical Affairs."

"This is marriage we are talking about, you are considered still young, why go so far for me, who you don't even know for barely a day" Kenneth frowned.

"Come with me," she said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him towards her room. Once inside, he turned around towards him and said, "release the morning start mark on your forehead."

Kenneth frowned and said, "How?"

"Just focus and thinking of releasing you restrains, from my observations from the last 6 years, you are the originator of the mark and I am someone that's blessed by you. I don't know what the mark does for you but when I activate it, my affinity and quantity of magic increases by a large margin. Like this," Nagini closed her eyes for a brief moment and opened them, the morning start mark appeared of her head, there was a near visible aura that surged from her before calming down, but Kenneth could sense that magic flew more easily around her than before. "Go on activate it, there is something else it does," she said.

Kenneth focused and though about releasing his retrains, he felt a warm feeling coming from his forehead. He looked at a mirror that was hanging on Nagini's wall and saw he too had a morning start mark on his fore head. However, there was no surge in magical force around him, just a little excitement as though the magic in the atmosphere was cheering. He concluded that this was because the purity and affinity of magic was already at its highest thanks to the alicorn runes and the blue orb in him.

"Perhaps it's because you are the originator of the mark that there is no surge in magic, but try to feel me through the mark," said Nagini.

When Kenneth focused on Nagini and the feeling she was giving, he felt a weird feeling coming from inside him, as though he had always known her, a feeling of trust and closeness.

"If I can feel like this being the originator, the feeling must be more intense for you. You decided to marry me because of this?" asked Kenneth.

"You only felt like that for a day, Jason, but I have been feeling it for 6 years now. So yes, I don't mind being married to you, I actually think it's safer to marry you than anyone else," she replied while smiling.

Kenneth frowned, he did not like the idea of a shotgun marriage even if it for his own benefit, but he did not detest the feelings he got toward Nagini. Besides, he always wanted to create his own family, maybe he could try it with her. Also, only an idiot would outright refuse a quality women like her without even giving it a try. Thankfully Nagini was a good woman, but he had to get to the bottom of the connection between them formed, He did not want to create another accidental connection. Kenneth shivered when he imagined making an accidental connection with women like Bellatrix, Umbridge and Rita Skeeter. He suddenly started thanking all the deities in existence for Nagini.

"Okay, I agree," said Kenneth.

"Great!" Nagini then walked toward a wardrobe and pulled out an extra pillow and place it next to her, sat down on her bed and patted next to her and as though it was the most normal thing, she said, "So when do you want to do it to seal the deal."

"I'll see you tomorrow," Kenneth rushed out of the room, thinking, "How is she a snake? She is more like a shameless, perverted tigress!" Nagini watched Kenneth run out of the room, giggled and muttered, "tsk, he got away. Well, I waited 6 years, waiting for longer is no problem. Beside he is mine already."

Kenneth got back into his room and took a few minutes to calm down and decided to continue exploring his other runes.

He focused on the dark brow rune that was on the black dragon's chest. The moment he did, he felt weird fluctuations around him. when he opened his eyes, Kenneth saw massive fluctuations of energy coming from the ground, while other object also had these fluctuations but it was miniscule compared to what was coming from the ground. He summoned few items laying around the room through spatial magic and started to observe the fluctuations that was coming from them carefully.

"Is that what I think it is?" thought Kenneth. What he was seeing is the magnetic field or the gravitational field around the objects.

He lifted his hand and sent magic onto a vase trying to touch field with the intention of making it stronger. At first nothing happened, but the more magic he applied, the vase started to lift off the ground. At the moment, the magnetic field the vase emitted was strong enough to counter the magnetic field produced by earth hence lifting off the ground.

"It seems the dragon represent gravity magic, well they are creatures of mass and strength," thought Kenneth.

Kenneth knew the implications of manipulating gravity, technically he could manipulate it to fly. He also remembered that he could turn any object into a black hole, but that was only a physics and mathematical theory. It was not impossible to do it, but it was also impossible. For example, he remembered from his A-level physics that in order to create a black hole of a size of 9mm in diameter, he would need to compress something of the size of Earth. So, it is possible if you have infinite amount of magic, but at the same time impossible because no one would be able to have that much magic, unless, one tried by to rely on some sort of external magical source.

Kenneth started to experiment, he realised by increasing the magnetic field around him, he could create a sort of a gravity shield around him that repels any physical objects. However, this takes up a lot of magic from him. he could accomplish the same results with a different method. For example, if a physical object is coming towards him, he simply had to increased its weight hence increasing the potential energy in it, when the potential energy becomes greater than the kinetic energy that is propelling the object and the object would lose momentum and fall to the ground. Or he could also reduce the gravity on himself, making him lighter and allowing him to dodge the object. He could also lift things off the ground using gravity magic and throw them at his opponents, or increase the weight of his opponent, therefore, restricting their movement.

However, there was a huge flaw in gravity magic, gravity itself did not affect magic. Magic permeated gravity as though it did not exist at all, so Kenneth knew even if he could use magnetic field to bend light, he could not use the magnetic shield to stop spells. Gravity magic was most effective on physical things.

He moved on to the raiju, the creature that looked like an overgrown massive wolf, mythically, these creatures had affinity with lighting and speed. Kenneth focused on the rune in its chest, again he felt his surroundings change, when he opened his eye, he saw something very weird, the entire world around him was giving off aura flow, the aura looked like when a road overheated and the rising heat create distortion of what's behind it. Kenneth could not comprehend what he was seeing, it looked like a flow but every object had a different concentration of the aura. No matter how many objects he observed, he could not comprehend what he was seeing, his miniscule knowledge in science was not helping at all.

After a while, he did not make any progress, so he went straight to the experimenting even though it might be dangerous. He took a plant that was in his room, the reason for his choice was that this plant had the highest concentration of the aura, other than him that is. he would be able to observe the changes that was happening to it more easily than the others. He sent magic to the plant with the intent of thickening the aura. Kenneth was taken a surprise to what he saw. The plant started to rapidly grow, but soon after, he could see, the earth which the it was planted on was becoming dry and dull really fast. "Time Magic!!!" he exclaimed as he stopped stop inserting more magic to the plant.

He collected his thoughts and started contemplating on everything he understood about time. He injected his magic into the plant again, but this time to reverse the flow, it did not work. He could slow the flow by an incredible rate but never fully stop it or reverse it.

"Interesting, as I thought," time was a special and unique force in the universe. As long as you were in this universe you will be affected by it. It did not matter if you were a one, two or three dimensional being, it would affect you the same as the others. Kenneth understood time as a river, but this river represented the entire universe. It only had a one directional flow. It was impossible to stop the flow of time unless you could stop the entire universe, it would be more impossible to turn back time, unless you could do it to the whole universe, but then time would only flow backwards. To turn it back to the normal flow you would need the same amount of magic as you needed to reverse it.

However, you can jump back in time, like a fish jumping out of the river in the direction of uphill. The only problem is you would not land in the same river of time, but a different one where two of the same fish exists, then the other fish would also have to jump out of the river of time and go to another river to take another's place, creating a time loop.

As for practical application, Kenneth could increase the speed of things that is beneficial to him, and slow the opponent, i.e. his own speed of casting, running, dodging, natural healing and even thoughts etc.

It was late at night when Kenneth finally stopped his practice, although he had a lot more to explore, he felt a bit more secure now that he had grasped few innate concepts of magic. He hit the sack as tomorrow would be long day.
