Ultimate Throne

"A king who sits on the Throne of Judgment scatters away all evil with his eyes.” (Proverbs 20:8) On the distant planet Ablauf, nestled in the depths of the universe, an empty Throne awaits its rightful ruler. Legends of the Ultimate Throne have been circulated far and wide, attracting ambitious individuals from neighboring planets seeking to claim the title of King or Queen of Ablauf. In the midst of this pursuit, the authoritative presence of the World Government intervenes, thwarting these hopeful adventurers and condemning them to the desolate confines of the Galactic Prison, where sunlight is a rare sight. Trapped within its walls, escape seems impossible, leaving inmates to endure a grim existence marked by decay and despair. In a serendipitous turn of events, Tito Roux, a reclusive sociopath with the uncanny ability to transform into fiery flames post getting nipped by a mystical Gemini crystal firefly, unexpectedly lands on the planet of Ablauf. This unusual arrival comes about after a mishap involving a hijacked prison-bound vehicle commandeered by an alien mentalist. Dispatching the alien assailant with ease using his fiery powers, Tito soon finds himself in the clutches of the stern Deputy General Russ N’Dowa, who administers a heavy-handed punishment by biting him all colors of black and blue before sending him off to the notorious Galactic Prison. Biding his time and scheming for a way out, Tito crosses paths with the enigmatic ‘Red Panda’ Encender Tohil, a daring adventurer on a quest to assemble a crew to journey along the revered Supreme Road in pursuit of the elusive Ultimate Throne. Armed with a quirky tactician yearning for a hermitic existence on deserted islands with a side of sugary treats, can Encender Tohil and her eclectic team navigate the treacherous path ahead and secure their coveted prize – the Ultimate Throne?

The Unexpected Alliance

No matter which angle I tried to look from, Encender didn't seem like her usual smiling self. This version of her is more adorable if I say so myself.

However, our red panda proved me wrong, 'Tito, I am hungry, please make something to eat.'

'Some things never change.'

Proving me wrong again, Encender looked over to the next cell with eyes carrying malevolence.

...

"Don't stare...just do what you were ordered to."

Layla looked at Encender with confusion engraved in her silver eyes.

As the light-brown-haired girl kept on staring at her, she suddenly felt a sense of agency consuming her very soul. '

How did she know about Aslan's instructions?'

Panic had taken over the pink-skinned alien's body, which made her body shiver to the point of falling to the ground.

Bam—!

Instantly, she pulled herself up and glared at the group in the cell facing her, as her hands grabbed on the black dagger in her overalls.

"What do you want from me?" she asked in a shaken voice.

Tito, who knew Layla was ordered to assassinate them, showed a sly smile as he waved at her.

"Oh, you are still there. I had forgotten about a widow like you."

'Out of all of them, he had to be the one to talk first. Argh! I can't stand him in the slightest.'

Black and White always found time to tease her every day he has been in the Galactic Prison. To him, Layla is the cute widow next door who has a crush on him.

However, the silver-haired girl was the same age as him, and her only experience with a man was being Aslan's dog who maintains order in Block F.

Seeing the reaction on her face, Tito found joy in himself and smirked with the corner of his lips.

"No matter what, I will make things between you work out right. Don't you know that I will walk through with you."

What the fuck is he saying?

Playing oblivious to Layla's dazzled state, Tito ended up grinning like the devil, which freaked out Encender, who was calm about the whole situation.

"Talk to me. Spell the secrets you have been keeping. All you have to do is believe in me, and everything will be solved."

Miss Jett suddenly found her teeth grinding at Tito's smoky voice, and the grip on her dagger increased.

'Should I just throw this dagger in his face.'

"You are a thief, not an assassin," Encender stated, like she knew the young alien from before.

She turned her gaze to the man of fire, "You should stop teasing her."

Layla couldn't help but raise a brow at the youngest girl in the other cell, 'How did she know about me being a thief? From what I gathered, she is not someone from Ablauf like me.'

Layla Jett was a really famous thief who is the only person in history to steal from all twelve Duke families. However, upon coming to Galactic Prison, her occupation was changed to assassin, as she found it amusing to the heart.

All she had to do now was make sure that someone didn't bring trouble to her boss, Aslan, yet Encender Tohil and her cellmates were doing exactly that.

'Even if they know about my intentions, I still have to kill them no matter the cost, like the previous owners of cell 27F.'

Layla was determined to end the group that was a hindrance in Aslan's path. Thanks to them, Block F has been under a lot of watchful eyes.

"Why don't you put that toothpick down and let us talk."

Out of rage, Layla found herself throwing her curved dagger at the big mouth, Tito.

However, acting like a Chinese action star, Tito blocked the attack by taking hold of its tip with his third and fourth fingers.

"I bet your little puppy Aslan can't do something like this."

Seeing that Black and White weren't going to stop teasing the girl next door, the silent Meron finally stepped up.

"Tito, do you know that your actions are full of racism?

Tito wasn't trying to hide the fact that he hated aliens. If it was someone from his planet then they would have acted the same.

To his people, aliens were a bunch of killers and terrorists.

However, Tito liked Layla more than the now sleeping Rajah.

"Sorry Meron, but in all honesty I do not hate the aliens of this world. I just dislike the first person to get hold of the Ultimate Throne."

Everyone from both cells stayed silent. The Queen of the world is like a sign of hope for both the aliens and Encender.

In the end, Tito ended up saying a truth he wished to never say, "In all honesty, I hate myself more than anyone else."

Rubbish! Who cares about what you feel?! It would be great if you died now!

Tito giggled at the silver-haired girl who seemed to have had her thoughts written on the lines on her forehead.

However, the people from his cell took his words to heart, and they now understood why the man of fire never liked anything.

Taking everyone's silence to his advantage, Tito walked out from his bed and reached the great stone bars keeping everyone in his cell from getting out.

"Layla Jett. As Encender's strategist, I would like to invite you to join our small adventures crew."

What the fuck is wrong with this guy?

Layla just glared at Tito without releasing a single word from her thin lips.

She couldn't tell whether Tito was joking or really asking her to join Encender's crew.

If he really is asking her, then she is going to plainly reject him like a fool.

However, she had forgotten one thing. Well, it is more like she didn't really pay attention for an assassin like her.

To add salt to the friendship between the two, Tito kept on smiling at the young alien.

"Got you~ you see I am not the one responsible for adding in this group."

Instantly, Layla found herself giving Tito the middle finger.

'Fuck you! Fuck you! Fuck you!'

She had gone out of her way to think of ways to get back at him, yet here he is only bluffing.
