Ulquiorra in Magi

A disturbing sound sounded inside a cave. You can hear a growl from a beast, an ominous bell ringing, and people's whispers echoing.

Creatures around dare not enter the cave, fearing their lives might be lost. Even though some brave creatures dare to enter, one step would only take to make them step back and dare not to move forward.

A Black Energy conjured out of thin air as a Portal-like gate were left floating in mid-air. The dark Cave became, even more, darker, almost dyeing the cave ink black. 'Almost', because of some light particles emitted from the Dark Portal, from time to time, lighting up the cave and then plunging again to eternal darkness.

Dave was left awestruck as he looked down towards what he assumed and what appeared to be a planet. 

He was familiar with this kind of look and thought of it as a planet since when he came from, the Earth was almost identical to this. Except there are no white pillars that shine across to space and some landmass appears to be not the way he knew.

Dave was fascinated by what he saw! But his look was short-lived as a light pillar consumed him. But this light was not the same as the light that lit up the planet, but a Dark Pillar of Light.

A sudden dizziness struck him, and it became stronger every second, and soon Dave lost consciousness.

Cave walls with green crystals were what Dave could see. This is what he first saw after he woke up from his short sleep.

The Crystal was glowing enough for Dave to know where he thought he was.

"I'm inside of a Miner's Cave?"

Dave thought that he was in some sort of mine, because of the Crystals all around him.

"But what about what I saw earlier? Is that only my own imagination? Did I get kidnapped?"

Looking at his get up. He wore a white hakama with a black sash and a jacket. He knew what he wore like memories planted on his brain. Tapping his body for some possible Cellphone or anything, he found out that apart from what he wears, there are no items on his disposal whatsoever. 

Dave began to rack his brain for some possible reason he got here and found out that apart from his hobby, his name, and general knowledge, he had zero memories. He doesn't know his Birthday, Age, but he knew he was rather young. He doesn't know his parents, sister, brother, cousin, friends, teacher's name. He got zero clues. But he knew he had parents, sister, brother, cousin, friends, and teachers as well as classmates! He knew! But, why the f*ck he can't remember their names, faces, or even body structure? Did they have hair or eyes? It's like he was, in his years on Earth, talking to a white humanoid creature, and not humans.

Dave started to panic as he might have amnesia. Knowing someone, but didn't know what they look like, is quite vexing. Yes, that's all.

Even though this might not be the right emotion in this kind of situation, a part of him kind of accepts this situation. 

As Dave was at loss on what to do. 

A sudden ring sounded in his ears, at the same time, a blue holographic panel appeared in his vision.

[Ding! The System is here! Good Day, Host.]

Dave was stunned by the sudden appearance of the system.

'A System? You mean those kinds of systems that appeared in Novels and mangas I read. So that means that… I'm dead?'

[Ding! Yes, the Host died and was transported to this world.]

Dave was surprised! Because he felt calm hearing the affirmation of his death. He just accepted it like it is a common thing.

Calming down his excitement, Dave then asks out loud.

"System, what's your function!"

[The System is called 'Template System'.]

[Most functions are still not working since the Host needs to finish the mission first.]

"Mission, huh…."

"System, what're the available functions?"

[The System available functions are Status and Mission]

Dave nodded as he saw the Status functions. This system didn't go far on what he knew on a system.

"Status"

"This… This system is rather simple and plain."

Dave got a headache seeing his Status panel having few functions. He then looked at the Template and saw a name. Ulquiorra! And then a figure flashes his eyes. This Ulquiorra was the one found in an anime called, Bleach! He was one of the Espada under the Villain, Aizen, ranking Fourth out of Ten. He was a cool and narcissistic kind of guy. But later he got overwhelmed by Vasto Lorde Ichigo and died.

"Then… System, what's the use of the Template?"

[Ding! Templates can copy abilities and powers whoever name is in it. The Percent (0.00%) is what percentage of power you had copied.] 

"Damn, soo OP?"

Even though ranking only Fourth on Espada. Ulquiorra is a balanced-type Espada with great attacking power and defense. Plus, his crazy High Regeneration speed but I'm sure if I want to be Ulquiorra, regenerating at an insane speed, I need to get a high Percentage to do that. But having 10% of it is already OP and beyond Human limits.

"System, how can I increase the percentage?"

[You can increase the percentage by killing and devouring souls! 0.1% is equal to 1 soul. The higher the Percent is, the more souls you need to devour to increase a 0.1%]

"This…"

Dave was speechless by the requirements. If he needs to get the 10% Regeneration of Ulquiorra and other abilities of his, He needs to kill 100 people! These thoughts extinguished the excitement he felt before and were replaced by hesitation and the thought of killing humans made him sick altogether.

He hesitated and then asked, "Can it be not humans but other creatures?"

[Yes, everything that has souls. Host can devour them.]

"Sigh~" 

Sighing in relief, Dave was relieved as he got the answer. Dave thought that since he got Ulquiorra Template and a System, he most likely and definitely in a Fantasy World. Creatures like Large Flying Birds, Large Fish, etc., or what they called monsters will be here and he was right. 

He then began to think about what Mission is there to make all the System Functions work, and make him stronger faster.

"Mission"

Sucking a deep cold breath. Dave looked at the Mission 2 times and glanced at the Failure Area.

'Death'

That's the punishment if I didn't clear this Dungeon within 1 month. Even though he once saw this kind of Punishment if Failed in some System Novels and Mangas, it is not the same if you're the one getting the punishment of Death.

So basically, goodbye life and hi Death. If I die again, it will not be the same as this one. No System and No memories of past life. Basically the good old reincarnation.

Looking around the surrounding of the cave. He felt like the green crystals were ominous and it felt like the green were the light of hell, beckoning him to go.

Dave had now two choices, 1 Die and 2 clear the Dungeon. But if he wants to clear the Dungeon, he needs equipment that he sure lacks right now. Did he need to craft it by himself or… 

"System, is there any kind of Novice Pack or Starter kit of some sort? I mean, I don't know if I can last 3 days. And yes, lastly, I need food."

And for the food, Dave doesn't need it anymore, which is kind of a bummer since he likes eating food everyday. I mean, who wouldn't love eating food?

I felt a warm energy surge within me that made me comfortable. I felt the slight increase in my strength and had the illusion that I could punch through rocks and break them.

I felt the energy in my body, which I would assume my Reiryoku (霊力, Spiritual Power). I can control it around my body but can't manifest and manipulate it outside my body, I don't know though… Maybe I could, but I'm not skilled enough to do so… This feeling is quite foreign and 'easy' at the same time.
