Kaname Uchiha

It was noon, a clear sky above Konoha, through the Uchiha clan district blew a delicate warm wind. On the border of the district laid a medium-sized house with a small pond full of water lilies, next to it sat a six-year-old girl in a meditative pose.

Her disheveled shoulder-length black hair was dancing on the wind, unblemished, sun-touched, skin was coated by little drops of sweat. She kept her face, scrunched in concentration, hands in tiger seal, trying hard to keep 'this stupid' leaf on her forehead.

'Ha, I knew I could make it! My nemesis is finally defeated!' Kaname shouted out in her mind, half a second later leaf fell off her forehead and landed on her small nose. "GAAH! Aniki! I need your help!" She cried out, throwing her hands up.

"What's up, Little Squirt, are you still fighting with your leaf?" replied a black haired teen with a big grin on his face.

"Grr, I will bite you!" a young girl exclaimed, jumping on her brother - like always, getting caught in the air. Kaname was dangling like a small cat from his arm, with a big smile on her face she pleaded: "Did you finish missions and training sooner today, will you help me?"

Her brother was 11-years-old, silky short black hair was combed to one side, his face calm with a delicate smile, the same smile that was always present when he is near his little sister. His height is 168cm (5'6''), he has more of a swimmer type body than a muscular one. In the academy history, the only one who had a bigger fangirl club than him was Minato Namikaze, who was at the time already a Chūnin in active duty. Thanks to his training from when he was five, he became genin just after the Second Shinobi World War ended - right after his eighth birthday.

"First things first, mom called you for dinner fifteen minutes ago. Food is going to get cold, let's go." Ryuichi sighed, lightly shaking his head. He walked with his little sister still hanging down from his arm.

"Oups, is she mad?" asked the girl scratching her head.

"Hahaha, maybe a little. Don't worry, I have some news, I promise she will easily forget about you being late." The genin laughed, walking inside their little flat.

"We're home!" siblings chorused, in a blink of an eye, Ryuichi caught a flying wooden ladle just before it hit Kaname's forehead. "That's a little?" Kaname whispered scaredly.

"K.A.N.A.M.E. I called you for dinner a long time ago, where have you been!?" a beautiful woman in her late twenties articulated every letter of her name.

"I'm sorry, Mommy." Kaname said with a head hung low, "Aniki! Help! She never calls me with my full name!" the girl pleaded in a whisper, hiding behind her brother back.

From as long as she can remember other people had five ways of calling her, most of them preferred "Kana-chan", civilians weirded her out calling her Uchiha-sama, and her brother always used "Little squirt" gaining her mock ire. Her mother always called her "Princess" or "Butterfly". Apparently, they were on a picnic 3 years ago and on Kaname's little finger sat a beautiful red butterfly, she then asked her mother if she can become a butterfly and the nickname just stuck.

"Mom, I have got some news." Ryuichi quickly said, seeing their mother's hand going for the harisen [AN: Google it, if you don't know what this is].

"In a week, I am going with my team to Sunagakure for Chūnin Exams." That stopped her hand.

"Are you sure it's safe to go that far from home?" Sachi asked worriedly.

"Mom, the shinobi world is dangerous, Sunagakure are our allies, the road from one village to the other is patrolled. Don't worry, I will be safe with my friends and captain Duy," assured Ryuichi.

"Aniki, are you leaving!? For how long!? Where to!? Why!?" Kaname shot question after question at him.

"Don't worry, Little Squirt, I will be back in a week or two. I'm going to another hidden village like Konoha for a test." Replied her brother with a small grin.

"Promise?" asked his younger sibling.

"Of course, I promise, and do you remember what not to do?" asked Ryuichi.

"Yeah, never break my promises!" Kaname replied with a smile from one ear to the other.

'*Sigh* I just can't be mad when I see such smiles…' Sachi sighed out, "Okay, Ryu, make us proud once again! Dinner is cold already, but let's go celebrate, I heard there is a newly opened Ramen Stall 'Ichir-something Ramen'!" the woman shouted out with a smile on her face and led them out of their home.

"Have you seen that, Little Squirt? As I said - she forgot. Let's go before she eats everything from Teuchi-san's storehouse." He whispered in his little sibling's ear.
